Does anyone know where on the cable is the booster box located? I need to fish the cable through some ceilings and walls, and it will only work if the box is located near the center of the cable. If it's located near one of the ends it won't allow me to route the cable as I planned.

Joe, As far as the booster box it was not near the ends which gave me room to put it down the walls. But not exactly sure how far from each end. I wish I could help more. I tried the cord and it never made the connection. I am not sure what happened. Any other USB cable works fine when you plug them in but this one did not. So actually it has been hanging dead. I was waiting for an IT guy to look at it closer!
