Others have commented that the two IEC plugs span about 3 ft. What is the length of the cable from the NEMA plug (the end that plugs into a wall outlet) to the Y junction?

The cable portion itself up to the Y is 57 inches, with the plug and the junction each being an additional 2 inches; so essentially 5 feet.
