Cons: This cable has already broke. The cable itself is very solid. The end of the cable is very fragile and due to the weight of the cable easily broke off.
Manufacturer Response:
Hi Michael,
Thanks for passing this along to us. We appreciate the feedback and want to help!
First, sending you a replacement cable will be no problem at all. Please contact us at neweggreviews@startech.com and we will get a new cable sent out to you.
Second, can you share with us how you were using the cable? Was it installed somewhere that had the cable hanging with added pressure to the connector piece? Perhaps in a wall mounted installation? Knowing this well be helpful in improving future products, so any details here are greatly appreciated.
We hope to hear from you soon and would like to resolve this as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Barry

Pros: The cable works perfectly with zero signal degradation. Considering it's 35 feet in length, I was expecting some amount of signal integrity loss. But it's not showing any signal degradation of any sort.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: I do not consider this to be a con, but I feel I do have to mention this. The cable is of such high grade that it's actually quite massive, and can be rather heavy depending on your set up. If your cable is hanging off whatever hardware your connecting it to, that the cable will need some sort of support. because I can see this being a bit of an issue without supporting the cable at the connectors.
If you mount it with proper support, you'll be good to go.
These cables work even in a very unconventional setup like mine.8/17/2021 9:42:03 PM
Pros: -Good image clarity, even if it is only 1080p or 1200p 16:10
-Heavy duty cables, as thick as my 14 American Wire Gauge extension cord.
-Works well for my very unconventional A/V set.
Cons: -Cables may be difficult to route in a wall due to the aforementioned heavy duty extension cord like thickness, if it is rated for in-wall setup, I have not verified this.
Overall Review: So, to start off, I have to describe the setup with which the cables are implemented, however, skip to the section, "Get to the Point" if you don't really care. There are two 6 in, 2 out HDMI switches, both separated by an initial 15 ft of HDMI cables, and the final switch has these 25 footers on the outputs going to my monitors, both standard HD 1080p-type displays. One of these switches has two input channels occupied by my HP Elite Desk 800 tower PC ++DP outputs. The switches will be and are connected to other computers and gaming systems as well, including Wii, Wii U, Xbox One S and a Nintendo Switch.
"Get to the Point"
Overall, these cables work for me at the resolutions I am using, they are quite thick but that's possibly for shielding of some of the conductors. This may inhibit the cables somewhat if you are routing them through channels or through a wall, ceiling or floor, if they are rated for that, I did not check as the cables are running up and over the open floor joists in a basement and back down to the monitors.
Overall Review: Not sure why I didn't think to buy a short HDMI cable sooner. There's no need to find a place to keep the extra cable when you buy just the right sized cable! Do it. Do it now!
Pros: Looks solid
Cons: This cable has already broke. The cable itself is very solid. The end of the cable is very fragile and due to the weight of the cable easily broke off.
