I work as a chat agent and i have to repeat things like how may i assist you and please allow me a few minutes to research that for you over and over all day and i have to enter my username again and again to sign into all the necessary programs at work because of this I am looking for a macro keyboard that I can bring with me to work to speed up my productivity. At work, I have minimum user privileges, and I never get to work at the same computer each day, and there are like 50 computers. I need a keyboard with as many dedicated macro buttons as I can get, and I need it to be able to save my settings, and me can't have it try to install drivers or software onto the computers because this will not work I can install the drivers and software and set it up at home just not at work because I don't have the user rights to do so will this keyboard work for me and if not do you have any suggestions for one that will?

This keyboard uses a downloaded program to manage the colors  and macros. I don't know about keyboards that could do that for ya, but maybe try using a thumb drive with "voice attack" on it. Voice attack allows you to create a VAST array of macros, triggered by voice or key press or I believe mouse movement. It's also much cheaper.

is it spillproof?

I wouldn't expose it to liquid spills.  A damp cloth for cleaning is fine, but don't tip your drink onto it :)  That being said, it's more than possible that if a little water is spilled on it, it can be wiped off / dried without actually doing harm to the keyboard.

No,  it is a rubber dome keyboard.  It is incredibly nice and keys are on par with mechanical keys.

what kind of switches does the Apex use ?

They aren't anything special  I haven't popped a keycap off, but the keyboard feels like it just has normal membrane-type switches (rather than mechanical switches, like buckling spring or whatever Cherry uses).

Is it fully compatible with Linux?

It doesnt work completely on linux
Most features are disabled
U cannot change macros or edit lights
So if u have linux make it dual boot to windows too so u can change the keys

Does this keyboard include drain holes?

I does have several holes that go all the way through the body.

Is it possible to remove the two diagonal arrow keys? They look like they would be awkward and get in the way.
