Are these closed or open backed headphones? They look open, as their are holes, but looks can be deceiving.

I believe they are open. I have had people in Ventrilo tell me they can hear other people talking when I talk. So I am assuming the Mic is picking up everything coming out of my headset. I might have it set too loud though. But they do produce excellent sound and other people tell me they can hear me pretty clearly on the Mic.
