I bought this case with an Asus Motherboard and the front power button cable does not attach to the motherboard. Is there an adapter for it? I wasn't able to find anything on Supermicro's website. Thank you!

Yes, there is an adaptor harness. I would look in the parts list on other Supermicro cases for the part number. Of make your own with some 0.1” header and cables from an old case.

Does this case only support Supermicro motherboards? the documentation only says it supports "Supports a wide range of Mini-ITX motherboards, from ATOM to Core i7" but nothing beyond that.

The power supply is standard. So, no problems there. But the connectors for the case io stuff is proprietary. Not much of a problem. I was able to hook up an ASrock motherboard no problem by using an adaptor I got off superbiiz.

Will the Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 fit with the standard heat sink and fan in this case? I would like to pair it with the ASRock C236M WS motherboard.

The only motherboards I find for the ASRock C236M WS are Micro ATX. This case will only fit Mini-ITX Form Factor Motherboards. As far as clearance on the cooler I was able to have a 2U cooler without any clearance issues. I would also estimate a stock Intel Cooler would fit as well but may hinder airflow slightly.

I saw somewhere that showed the backplane in the chassis only supports SATAII (3GB/s). I just wanted to confirm if that is true or if it supports 6GB/s?

according to their website the backplane supports sata3 (6GB/s)
