Does this unit have volume control, if so, where is it?

There is no volume control on this headset. You'll have to control it with your computer's software. I highly recommend it, though, as I've been gaming heavily with it, recording music, and some other activities for over a year and it's not failed me once.

There isn't. There are no buttons on the headset, but the actual mic part is detachable and yields the same results on your end

No. It comes with a 3.5mm audio jack as well as a 3.5mm headphone/microphone splitter to attach it to a PC with dedicated audio jacks.

Am I correct in what I have read in one of the reviews that everyone in the room can hear what you are hearing?  I want a quality headset to use with SKYPE for business calls.  Obviously the other people in my office do not want to hear my calls.

Under Normal, and I mean really Normal, settings... No.
With the earphones watching a movie on my memo pad 8 my wife sitting next to me was not disturbed.

That said, I did an experiment for you.  Plaid a sample music that comes with the windows install at 50 % volume and the desktop volume set at 50% volume and you could barely hear outside the headphones at 2 feet.  With the Headphones on the ears the music was loud enough.  However, if you like to blast your brains.... Yes, you could hear the music clearly at 2 feet.   I would guess that would be true for any headphones.

Will this headset work on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4?

These have standard 3.5mm plugs for mic and stereo. So, as long the consoles accept those inputs you're fine.

I suspect you may need an adapter. So, I would research that first. These headphones are great though. They are sturdy, sound great and are a real bargain.

Yes. If your laptop requires a splitter (separate plug in for headphones and mic), that is included in the package.

Will this require drivers to work?/Might I have any issues getting it to work with linux?

Hello,

You will not need any drivers to use the headphone. The only drivers you would need to worry about in Linux are for your sound board either dedicated or integrated with the motherboard. If you have the sound working with standard speakers then it will work fine with this headset. If you do not have sound with standard speakers then you will need to look for drivers for your motherboard or dedicated sound board.

How does this work with a Ps3? I have a monitor that doesn't have the red/white/yellow jacks and has 1 green audio port. Please get back to me :)

Hello,

I would assume that you plug it directly into the green audio port. doing so should give you sound; however you would not be able to use the mic. This headset comes with a splitter that you connect to the primary audio cable. This splitter then creates two separate lines one for output(speaker)[black] and one for input(detachable Mic)[grey]. with the splitter you would plug the black end into the green audio port.
