Is this CityGear backpack water proof, water resistant, or neither (including the bottom, if placed on saturated ground or a small puddle)?

I have owned 3 of these packs and 2 of my sons each use these at college.  We all love them for the amount of space there is and we also have them for that same space since we tend to pack too much into them.  If you ever carry it on a plane, don't put too much into it or it won't fit in the overhead compartments.
To answer your question... I do not truly know because I have never placed it near wetness, but I suspect it is not water proof or water repellent.  The cordura fabric probably is, but the stitching is not sealed.  I bet it would leak like a screen door on a submarine.
