I have a Dell Inspiron 518 Pentium Core 2 Duo E7200 (2.53GHz, 3MB) computer and an At&T U-Verse Arris NVG589 modem. I need a replacement Ethernet cable to connect them to each other. Is the C2G 03975 6ft. Cat 6 Blue Patch Network Ethernet Cable the correct cable? Gordon Evans

I'm using this cable in a similar manner with no problem. My understanding is that although a higher Cat(egory) does exist, namely Cat7, there is as yet no hardware to support it so our Cat6 cables should be fine for a long time.
