No. The installation can be done without ground wire(green wire).Make sure hot wire,load wire,neutral wire are present in the wall box before purchase.
Do I need a white neutral wire in the box?
Yes, Neutral wire must required.
Will this work without the load wire(red wire)?
No.This timer switch will not work without the load wire(red wire).
