Is there a toner cartridge included with this printer purchase?

One toner cartridge was included with my 2520. . . With the exception of cables and paper, I've never bought a printer of any kind that didn't have everything needed to print directly out of the box.

Might be silly question, but is this compatible with Mac OS?

Never mind. Found on Brother site that it is compatible. For others who are asking, YES. Works with Mac OS X®10.7.x, 10.8.x, v10.9.

Is this printer also a Color printer?

This is not a color printer. It's black & white only. It's incredibly reliable, easy to set up, and a pleasure to use. But just not in color.

What is the shelf life of an unopened toner cartridge?

I am not sure exactly except that when I purchased my printer (from Office Depot) I purchased an extra, "high yield" toner cartridge as the one that comes with the printer is basically a 'starter' cartridge. Now keep in mind, this is for Home use only. By the time I finished the starter cartridge and loaded the extra capacity cartridge (which had been stored in my office, in it's sealed envelope, inside the factory box), the cartridge was "dead". I don't remember exactly but it was 3~4 months before I finished the starter cartridge. I do remember I paid over $50 for it however. And when I took the cartridge back, along with the receipt, they refused to exchange it because it had been over 30-days. I really like the Brother printer but somehow have a bad taste because of the actions of the retailer. In fact, I need a new cartridge now and am thinking of buying from Newegg.

Does it have auto feed capability for multi document scanning?

No. It is capable of scanning just 1 page at a time, similar to an old style copy machine. It's a good printer, but for the price, auto feed for scanning isn't there.

Does this scan in full color?

Yes, it does scan in full color.

About 14x15x10h but you need another 10" in height to opent he lid for the scanner...you need another 10" in depth to open the paper tray.... It is so quiet you have to look at it to see if it printed and the only power indicator is in the LCD screen that faces up so you cannot tell if it is powered on from looking at it from across the room. The wifi works great.

Will it copy without having to be connected to computer or wireless...just plugged in?

Yes. However, I have had a lot of trouble with Brother printers lately. They have a problem with premature failure of the fuser ($200 part) and I can't recommend at this time...

Great printer but the LCD display does not light up. Have also an older 7070 model which does light up. Is there a cost cutback, did I miss something or do I have a failed component?

Does not light up. You must be looking at the correct angle to read display. A pain in the rear.
