Is it compatible with Window 8?

Yes, the software is up-datable if needed on the brother site and will automatically check your computers compatibility (ie. 64 bit or 32 bit) and download what's needed. Very nice printer, cheap ink (aftermarket), scanner is awesome and will save scans in different formats. Fax works with Ooma phone also. My wife uses it heavily for woman's retreats, children's classes & brochures. I use it for contracts, reports & municipal filings. Did I mention it's a very nice printer ;)

Any luck using this with Mint Linux, or other Derivative?

There is some mistake. I never bought this printer.

Does it come with starter ink cartridges or full capacity cartridges?

The basic cartridge, good for 300 pages. High Yield cartridges are available (600 pages).

Is this a wireless printer? It doesn't really say, but I don't see any USB slots/cables either.

It is not wireless. The USB port is inside the printer, yes, that's what I said. The USB cable routes to the outside of the printer.

Can this printer print on 11 x 14 paper? Or just 8.5 x 11?

Nope. 8.5" x 14" is the maximum paper size.

What are the dimensions? Does it scan multi pages?
