Can anyone confirm that this printer can print A3 as well as 11x17?

Both paper drawers are labeled for A3 as well as the scanning bed. I might add that I am very happy with this printer. It arrived well packed and almost totally assembled. Set up and configuration was a snap. I also love the bypass tray for envelopes and "one off" print jobs.

can you email your scan to any email address?

I don't believe you can scan directly to an email address. You can set it up to  send scans directly to your default email application as an attachment which  should make it easier and it has an address book for commonly used fax numbers. By using the control center on your computer you can set it up to send  scans directly to a  pre-selected imaging or photo application, your default email application, as a specified  file type to a pre-determined folder or SharePoint library on your computer, and can convert document scans to text using OCR so you can edit it in your word processer.
