What is the scanning capacity? 50/100/150 sheets?

I am not sure. I have only scanned about 10 at a time but it seems like it could do a lot more than that. In general I love this preinter.

Can you scan an 11 x 17 document in color as well as printing an 11 x 17 document?

Yes, that is the primary reason we bought this particular printer. We copy, scan and print color 11 x 17s. Some other models cannot print large documents.
