Can this adapter be plugged into the USB port of a non-wireless printer and then allow the printer to join a wireless network?

Accepted Answer

It would depend on the printer and the firmware.

If the printer is not Wi-Fi enabled and doesn't have a way to initiate and enter network parameters like passphrases, then my answer would be "No".

I have this device and use it with WD Live media streaming device which has driver info for this device in its firmware, and that is how it works. Think of the firmware as the device's OS. Hopefully this was helpful.

can this be used to connect a Blu-ray disc player thru its usb port to a wireless network?

I doubt it (I don't know the capabilities of your particular Blu-Ray Player).  This is designed for a PC USB interface.

Most Blu-ray USB ports are set up for reading files from the USB and displaying pictures/video or playing music files. There are some (Like my Sony) that require a USB memory stick for a buffer memory for a lot of network features.  Most Blu-ray players do come with either a Ethernet interface or even built in wifi.
