Is this compatible with Windows 8.1 Pro? I'd assume it is, but I don't see any reviews stating it is, and it doesn't mention it in the specs. If anyone knows, that'd be great.

does it admit it's own wifi ?

I don't understand the question. However, I installed it on a new build desktop destined for a wireless environment; and, it works fine on our local network as a wireless reception point.

how can i get a driver for this bufallo wireless LAN adapter? coz my cd is lost..huhuhu..pls help me

Assuming you can only connect to the Internet using the wireless USB adapter for which you need the drivers, you will need to use another computer, a friend or neighbor's, coffee shop or library, to access the Buffalo website to download the drivers: www-dot-buffalotech-dot-com/support-and-downloads/downloads

Download to a USB flash drive and then use that to install the drivers on your system.  You may also try inserting the USB network card in your system to see if Windows will auto-install drivers for you.

If for some reason you still cannot get the drivers online, contact Buffalo support and they may help you get a new driver CD sent to you: (eight-six-six) seven-five-two-six-two-one-zero.  Good luck!

Is this product compatible with linux operating systems?

Yes.  I am running both Windows 7 Pro and Linux Mint 17.  No configuration was needed on Linux.  Since Linux Mint 17 is a derived of Ubuntu, I would hope that Ubuntu and all of its derivatives would work the same way.
