Will a common SATA BD/DVD/CD device fit in the bracket and still be able to open and close the disk tray?

The 3 fan holes are a knockout piece to fit a 3.5" device like an A-drive or ssd. Bd/dvd/cd drive is 5.25" & would not fit within that slot.

Question 2

Will this allow me to use my old internal HP 15-in-1 card reader in my new case?  There isn't a way to secure it into the new chassis, since there's a gap around it in the bay that a floppy drive would go.  I have 2 other bays under my optical drive.

The number for my drive is 504857-001.  I'd link to it, but can't...

The BYTECC U3 front panel hub has a "knock-out" window in the center that can fit a standard 3.5" device (such as a floppy drive or media/sd-card reader).   Your HP card reader 504857-001 does not look like it was designed to fit a standard 3.5" floppy/sd-card reader opening from the internet photos that I have seen.  Newegg does sell many standard 3.5" sd-card readers that will fit the BYTECC U3 front panel hub.

Is this the ONLY device that has USB 3.0 inputs AND holds an SSD AND fits 5.25"?

Not sure I don't use it to hold the SSD but it looks like it easily could.   I'd rather buy a separate Rozwell SSD holder that has a fan Built in.   Overall the performance of this USB 3.0 panel 5.25 devices amazing though .
