The needed wattage is not a concern with this unit; The only issue I had with this unit was that it does not come with a usb 3.0 motherboard connector. There is just a long usb cable that you have run thru your computer then out the back and then plug into a rear reg. usb socket. Not the neatest look and a waste of a good motherboard connector. Other than that, it is a good unit, looks good, and works good.
