where are the ink cartridges located?

There is a door on the front-side where the paper comes out of the printer. It's secured by a loose plastic latch so you have to pull moderately hard down and towards yourself to open it. Remember to have the printer powered on as it should automatically move the ink cartridge inserts into place when the door is opened. The door should have an illustration showing how to insert the cartridges.

If you meant where to get the ink cartridges, the door also shows what type of cartridges to use (CL-246 and PG-245). You should be able to purchase them from the manufacturer's website or any printer supply store.

Go into Cannon Utilities in you start menu. In that folder is Scan Utility.

Will this printer work with any all in one computer ?

It will work with any computer running Windows 7. It is listed as compatible with windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 but not listed as compatible for windows 10.
For mac OSX 10.6.8 through 10.9. 
For linux there is some compatibility, though i can't recall which distro i had running.

So it depends on what Operating System your all-in-one has on it(most likely one of the windows versions). And it might work for windows 10, though it might not be worth the risk to 'try it'.

Honestly, I don't exactly remember, but looking at the USB cable that I'm using, I would say no, because the cable looks like an old one that I already owned.

Is this printer wireless?  Does it come with a USB cord to connect to computer or do you have to purchase cord separate?

No,  the printer does not come with that cable, but  the cable from my old HP  printer fit perfectly, so I didn't have to buy one.  I don't remember if it's wireless.  I'm not home right now.

it was compatible with my windows 7, i think that's the same. yes, comes with a blk & a color ink cartridge. i love this all-in-on!! and the oem inks last forevah!

Will this printer be compatible with windows 10?

The beauty of computer software is that 99.9 percent of the time it is backward compatible. Which means that it will probably even be compatible with Windows 12. That is if you still own the printer by then. I found this printer to be very efficient and easy to use. Enjoy!

Hi...the MG 2420 printer of mine is connected to a Windows 7 computer....I have a MG 2520 printer connected to Windows 10...It works great...I think the old Mg 2420 should also work with windows 10....But my MG 2520 Printer is connected to Windows 10 and works Great...I think your printer will be ok with Windows 10...
