Yes, but the hinge only goes up about an inch

what is the range of paper sizes that this printer can handle?

I have used mine for small size paper also 8.5 x 11 and 8.5 x 14. I have used it for numerous sizes of envelopes. I have printed pictures from 4 x 6 to letter size and as far as I an concerned no printer can print a better photo. I had 2 of another very popular brand of printer and they can't touch the PIXMA printer.

IS THIS PRINTER RELIABLE/AND EASY TO SETUP ON A WIRELESS NETWORK?

Yes. The person I got it for had never before set up a network printer, in fact had never even had wireless before. He keeps telling me how great a printer it is and that he keeps finding out what other things it can do. I told him to check out how it can print in a book format so you can make your own booklet. Anyway, it is easy to set up. Canon also has an Apple Ap so you can print to it from an I Pad. I have done that and it works great. No need for a special Air printer or anything like that.
