The protagonist of this tale has their heart stolen in a sudden encounter with the Dragon, leading to their resurrection as the Arisen, one tasked with defeating the Dragon.

Ambitions collide as those concerned with the Dragon weave through this deep tale of fantasy, further enhanced through skillful voice acting.
Action
Battle the various monstrosities that plague your journey at every step, utilizing a combat system that offers a vast degree of freedom.
Put up your shield and draw enemy focus, or open the path ahead with splendid swordsmanship.
Leave the front line to your allies and use magic to support from the rear, or clamber onto a giant beast's body to aim for its weak point. How you fight is up to you!
Monsters
The monsters of Dragon's Dogma feature beasts and mythical creatures well-known to fantasy RPG fans. They approach en masse, leveraging wicked strength, soaring through the skies and otherwise wielding their menacing abilities to attack your party. Read the flow of battle and find enemy weak points to take them down!
Jobs
Vocations give players access to an abundance of different skills and playstyles. Wield a sword and shield as a Fighter to protect your comrades, or support your party using a wide range of offensive and restorative magicks as a Mage. Try a variety of vocations to find the perfect balance for your party.
Skills
Grasping the skills available to each vocation is essential to your adventure. The Fighter vocation, for example, advances to Warrior, utilizing two-handed weapons to unleash impressive and powerful attacks. And don't forget the recovery spells of the Mage vocation—all essential tools for a long journey.
Online
Reliable Pawns
Pawns can be summoned from Riftstones found in locations around Gransys.
These able allies act according to your commands. Together with your exclusive Main Pawn, you can summon two Pawns from other players to create a party of up to four adventurers.
The All-Powerful Ur-Dragon
The terrifying Ur-Dragon is an optional online boss that allows Arisen from around the world to work together, whittling down its health in an MMO-style raid experience.
To the victors go a rarity of rare and valuable spoils, including items and equipment. Successful players will have their names recorded in the Hall of Fame.
Dark Arisen
Welcome to the Harrowing Bitterblack Isle
Bitterblack Isle...an eerily tranquil island steeped in death and calamity, whose name was all but forgotten.
The monsters that roam the isle are even deadlier than those on Gransys, but the weapons and equipment found there are more powerful still.
A myriad of traps await the Arisen, and offer a potential new fate for them when they reach the deepest depths of the underworld...
