Mine is version 3.  FYI, this is just a re-branding of a Linksys equipment.  It works OK in a fail-over scenario, but not great if you have unequal WANs.  Also, it does not support the Cisco VPN client.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can I use this router to "bond" or "bridge" two separate internet connections from Century Link to increase our store bandwidth?

Accepted Answer

No it cannot. Bonding can only occur at the ISP level and certain protocols, like Multilink PPP, have to be met in order for bonding to work. The two WAN ports were designed to connect two locations and be able to tunnel VPN connectivity or statically route between the two locations.

Hi, is this the latest hardware version of the router(v3?)

There are many different hardware versions of this line of routers. It ultimately depends on what your needs are. Personally, I like having a separate switch and wireless access point, but there are others that have it all in one. If you have multiple static IPs, then something with multi-wan ports is important.
This doesn't come with the Cisco IOS and is a continuation of the Linksys line of routers in a way. So this is more like a home business router more then a small business router.

What is the energy consumption?

Not sure about the energy use but no fan, little heat so use likely low.

I bought the RV016 to join two ISP's and provide failover.  It did not work - it does not work.  I would not buy it again.

Can I configure this using Cisco's CLI instead of a web GUI?
