i have a roku box and an apple tv box but only 1 hdmi connection at tv. Can i connect each of the boxes to one of the plugs and the one plug into the tv and thus switch between boxes depending upon program selection/box?

does this unit bypass HDCP ?

It work, but, requires resetting frequently by unplugging and repluging. Losing signal requires the reset.

Question 3

This may sound crazy, but my vga output on my computer is going bad.  I have an HDMI that I connect to another monitor.  Will this splitter allow me to use both monitors separate like I do now, or will the display be the same on both?

The splitter will not allow for 2 seperate displays, it will take one display and clone it (mirror it) so the same picture is on both displays.

are the 2 red indicator lights supposed to stay illuminated or if not does that mean its not working?

I only see a blue light indicating the active source.  I do not see a red light.  I suggest you check the operation manual for what the red lights mean.  Red is usually bad.  Perhaps your devices aren't plugged in correctly.

Has anyone successfully used this device to share a single HDMI port on a PC video card between a PC Monitor and an Oculus Rift?
