How many bulbs do you get for 9.99?

When I purchased this product I was under the impression you would get 2 bulbs for $9.99, it was one of their Shell Shocker deals.  So, I ordered a total of 4 bulbs . When I received the order, I only got 2 bulbs.

I contacted NewEgg and sent them the email I received and they sent out 2 more bulbs within a day or 2. Great job on NewEgg's part to make it right. Just be careful with your order, they may have changed the description since I ordered.

What is the diameter of the bulb?  I want to use them in a small fixture

The widest part of the globe (diameter) measures 2.325" or 59mm.  The overall height is 4.375" or 111mm.  Measurements taken with a caliper so they should be accurate.

do these bulbs fit ceiling fans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, these bulbs will fit ceiling fans as long as the sockets on the fan are the standard household bulb type (E26).  The shape of these bulbs matches a standard bulb style (A19).

Question 4

can this bulb be used on my front porch? It will be under a roof where rain will not get to it but the fixture has a brass top with four glass sides and is open at the bottom.

I have these LED bulbs on my outdoor porches, and they work great in that application.  I find a 40 Watt equivalent bulb perfect for the porch lamp fixtures. Even in cold weather they give instant full brightness compared to CFL fluorescent bulbs.

Is this a standard base the same as the base on light bulbs you'd buy in a grocery store? 
Can you dim the bulb with a dimmer switch?

Yes, this is the standard light bulb base A19.  A is the type and 19 is the size.  Most standard home light bulbs are A19.

This bulb is not dimmable.  Look at the specs on the LED bulb and it will tell you if it is dimmable.  Using a non-dimmable LED bulb with a dimmer switch will void the warranty and cause the bulb to fail prematurely.

Is this bulb dimmable?

no it is not dimmable, nor is it supposed to be placed in an enclosed fixture such as a dome light which is bull as those are very common fixtures.

Is this lightbulb dimmable?  Some of the collection series says it isn't and some doesn't say.

yes but dimming may not work on all systems. i have them at my parents house and they use a dimmer not a huge diffrence in the lighting dimmness but it works

Is it safe to use this in a bathroom above a vanity mirror? The shower does generate steam and the bathroom is therefore a damp area.

I really couldn't say, but the bulb appears to be sealed. If you don't have the steam condensing on the bathroom surfaces into water drops, then I think it should be alright. I hope that you are using more than one of these. They aren't that bright.
