Why does my hair dryer give off a weird smell when I use it?
If it's brand new, that smell is totally normal. The heating element comes coated with a thin layer of protective oil from the factory.
Don't worry — it should fade and disappear after you've used the dryer a few times.
Why does my hair dryer overheat?
The usual culprit is a clogged rear filter. Hair, lint, and other debris can build up over time and block the airflow, which causes the dryer to overheat. Try removing the back cover regularly and clearing out any trapped hair or gunk.
