The fan on this unit has started "squeaking". I have a Mass Cool 120 mm fan, model no. FD12025B1L3/4.  Can I replace the old fan with this one or is there something special about the fan in this power supply?

I wouldn't recommend replacing the fan in the unit. They are dangerous to open unless you are skilled and know what you are doing. 
The unit itself it fairly inexpensive, you can consider replacing it. But working on it, I wouldn't work on a psu and most certainly wouldn't replace a part that isn't approved by the maker.

Also : They come with a relatively long warranty, you should be able to replace the fan, if not the entire unit. Contact the manufacturer for answers on that.
