Question 1

would this fan be louder than the stock fan that comes wit the Intel 3770K?

I have a Haswell system, an i5 4670k.  This CPU is supposed to be a touch hotter than your CPU so I believe the answer I am about to give is valid.

On my setup, the Cooler Master is quiter than the stock Intel heatsink fan which came with my CPU.  I would suggest if it is louder, the difference isn't worth mentioning and may not even be noticed by the typical user.  Aditionally, if my experience is any indication, any increase in loudness is more than offset by the temperature decrease.

I was worried about volume as well.  My fears were unfounded.  This heatsink does its job and does it well.

I would be more concerned about the size of this thing.  Look up the dimensions on this sucker and measure around inside the case to make sure this will fit.  Size is what you not to concentrate and be concerned about and not the perceived volume of this.

It comes with different mounting brackets to fit different types of MB. It even comes with a tube of cooler master thermal paste so you do not have to buy any if you do not want to.

Can the 212 EVO be installed without removing motherboard from case? (Rosswell Challanger mid)

I have the Rosewell Challenger case, it has a very large cutout on the motherboard tray so you do not need to remove the motherboard to mount the backplate..  all you need to do is access the area through the cutout.

The specs on the product info page say "CPU Socket:
Intel Socket LGA 1150/2011/1366/1155/1150
AMD Socket FM1/FM2/AM3+"... so yes, it is! :)

Do I need an extra thermal compound with this? Or does it come pre-applied?

It comes with CoolMaster Thermal Compound that is not pre-applied, but in a seperate tube.  Depending on how important the thermal compound is to you; whether you are going to Overclock or not; depends on whether you decide to buy something better than what comes with it.  I bought MX-4 just because it doesn't corrode your CPU like metal base compounds or degrade over time, but that is a choice you need to make.  Enjoy.

I have 4 G.Skill Ripjaws RAMM sticks; Will this cooler allow enough clearance? Or am out of luck with this product?

the inner part of the ripjaws ram will clear the fan (not sure about ripjaws X), the outer 2 parts that are taller are tall enough to make contact with the fan, you can always move the fan 1 or 2 mm up and have enough space
on my board (M4A79XTD EVO) if i mount the cooler vertically, the push fan clears the ram, but when horizontally mounted you need to move the fan up a little (less than 2mm)
it really depends on how close your ram slots are to your cpu socket.
you don't have to use the 1st ram slot, you could just put a stick of gskill ares ram in there that will fit under the cooler
the pull fan (top one) was bumped up a little but the push fan clears everything

Is the stock fan on this heatsink setup as push or pull configuration?

The fan, as shipped, is in a push configuration.  It would be easy to change into a pull configuration.  The cooler also comes with an additional pair of clips if you want to configure with two fans.

This heat sink is quiet and cools well!

Question 8

Does this CPU cooler fit 1150 sockets?

It should. It's compatible with 1155 and 1156 which have same mounting dimensions as 1150.

"Cooling systems for LGA 1155 and LGA 1156 sockets are compatible with LGA 1150, due to them having the same distance of 75 mm between each screw hole."

-Wikipedia (I know, citing Wikipedia... but it's right, all three of these sockets are 75 mm between mounting screw holes)

Also, the fact that other coolers exist which support simultaneously 1155, 1156, and 1150 tells me it should be fine.

Question 9

I have a rosewill R5 gaming case, and am3+ asrock 770 motherboard. My question is will the mounting plate that goes under the cpu plate cause a problem with the motherboard having static issues against the case? I have standoffs on the case that raises motherboard now, this just seems very bulky under the motherboard.

As long as the motherboard is attached to the standoffs correctly and it isn't touching anywhere else to the case besides the standoffs it should be fine.  Also make sure that the cpu plate isn't touching the case, but even if it is I've never had any trouble with static issues since the motherboard holes to mount the cooler to aren't connected to the motherboard.

It does come with thermal paste. I can't speak to the quality of it though, because I bought and used another paste since was unsure about whether this came with thermal paste, as well.
