Question 1

Can I orient this cooler in any direction?  Or is it only mountable blowing air in a certain direction?

I have mine on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 mother board.  I could only mount the Cooler Master Hyper T2 pushing air up or down due to high heat sink on my memory (Corsair Vengeance)  and the heat sink on the side of the CPU socket.  You can mount the cooler in horizontal or vertical directions depending on your motherboard layout.  Also the airflow direction of the fan on the cooler can be reversed.   This cooler keeps my CPU (AMD FX 4350) below 55C.  I would recommend it

I have two questions. First can you put another fan on this? Second  Is their thermal paste included? If so is it any good.

Yes, I believe it is designed to allow for another fan, although it's been a while since I installed it and I don't remember whether the parts to mount the second fan are included. Thermal paste is included, and I think it works just fine. As thermal paste is inexpensive, if you are concerned about the quality, you can always order your own.

will this fit AMD processor?

Yes,  this will most definitely work with an amd processor either for am2 or 3 or fm2 or 3 or the plus models .  The adapter comes in the box.  I get at least a 10% cool down compared to my marketed cooler.  This thing is reasonably priced, it looks good, is not loud, super easy to install, and not too big.

Does this fan come with a thermal paste or anything to stick to the processor cage? Or is that sold separately?

When I bought this it came with a silver packet of thermal paste, so I would assume the one you buy will as well. Pretty much every heatsink I've ever bought came with some form of thermal paste.

I didn't use mine as it was too tall for the case I had... but YES, I fairly certain a Thermal Compound pack came with it.

is it able to dissipate 105 watts worth of heat?

It can for sure, I ran it short term while waiting on a 280 mm closed loop with a Ryzen 1700x when Ryzen was first released(95W TDP).

Don't have any stress testing data on prime95 but after moderate load it would get up to ~ 70C or so. I personally would use a larger cooler that can maintain lower temperatures to extend the life of the CPU.

i bought 1 of these a long ago, lately the cpu temps were too high reaching 90-100c under load. when i saw this happening i took out the cooler and noticed that 1 of the white pins (intel cpu special bracket pins) was broken so my question is, is that why im having such high cpu temps?

Yes. That is very likely the problem. If the cooler isn't locked down properly, then it's not cooling properly. You need to replace the pin if possible, but most likely have to purchase another cooler altogether. Also, when you do, be sure to clean the processor of any thermal paste and reapply, if the new cooler doesn't have the pre-applied paste. Most likely if the cooler isn't making a good contact, air is getting between it and the processor and is drying out. This might be a good time to clean any dust from the case, fans and filters if there are any.

Will this cooling fan work in a vertical case (standard type) or does it need to be in one that's laid flat? It looks like the plate that gets the thermal paste is on the bottom, and that would pretty much have the entire thing being supported by that plate and the bracket. I'd be very interested in knowing before I made the decision to purchase it.

Yes, depending on how wide your case is, it will work in a vertical standing case. It comes with two mounting brackets, one for an LGA socket types(Intel) and another for AM2/3 socket types(AMD). It comes with thermal paste in a packet and not pre-applied to the heatsink/heatpipes.

I got this cooler and I set it up.  Now my cpu usage went from 0-10% idle to 20-60% idle.  Is that supposed to happen?

If your fan is spinning at a high rpm and your cpu is still at a high temperature, try using a different thermal grease.

Is the thermal paste that comes with this cooler good or should I get a better thermal paste?

I have installed several of these with the included grease and they have all been working just fine.
