No, but the box comes with a tube of cheap thermal paste. I didn't use it however cuz artic silver 5 was on sale so I bought that as well and used it instead.

will this fit in a cooler master elite 430 case?

As a mid tower and from the images, I think it should. I have the storm scout 2 case and it fit with almost an inch and a half from the other opening panel. but it is cramped putting it in towards the top depending on your mobo and its cpu location. I had to open the top of my case since my hands couldnt fit around it near the top to latch it into place.

Will it fit on the asus rog maximus v formula board with out blocking any ram ports or getting caught up on the heatsinks?

It depends on the motherboard you get and the memory you use. My memory has heat sinks on them and it would fit one way with the fan straight up and down but not the other way with that memory. Not even sure regular memory would fit either. My motherboard was ASUS P9X79 LE LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX if that helps any

Is this will fit socket fm2?

The enclosed instruction sheet does not specify FM2, but the specs on the product box and on the product page on the Cooler Master website DO show that will fit socket FM2.

Will this work with FM2+ socket? Because I check the website for this cooler, and it doesn't say. But it does say FM2. I heard that FM2+ isn't much different from FM2 but I want to be sure

Yes, it works with the native bracket on the board even, took about 4 minutes to install. I have used it on two different boards with FM2+ sockets. Hope this helps! It's a million times better then stock. I definitely recommend it

I was wondering if this cooler is compatible with amd athlon 64 x2 4400+?

Short answer: No.

Detail: That particular CPU was designed to use AMD's socket 939 which was superseded by socket AM2. Socket 939 uses a differently shaped CPU cooler mount bracket whereas AM2 and newer are all somewhat universally compatible.

Opinion: The way the aluminum base is oriented in respect to the copper cooling pipes relative to AMD mounting brackets, it is only possible to mount this cooler with the fans pointing up (or down if you're weird). This effectively blocks the two closest RAM sockets unless you're using very low-profile DIMM's. Though compatible with socket AM2 and newer, I would not recommend this cooler for AMD builds.

Socket LGA 2011 / 1150 / 1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 775 / 
Socket FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2  are the sockets it shows.  
I currently have it installed on my A10 APU and the noise level is almost none.  I would say if you can set it up on any of these
sockets shown that it should be fine.  Use your best judgement from there.  As I am not a gamer, from what I read those folks really watch the CPU temps when gaming. Hope that answers your question.

I think so. Measure how much room you have above your CPU to the side panel. I have a mid-size case (NZXT Phantom), and it fits. However, I only have two ram sticks. Four would be a little snug next to the cooler.
