Does this come with a rgb splitter?

No. This cooler does not came with RBP splitter cable. However, it does came with RGB LED controller that allows you to customize your RGB devices without the need for either an RGB capable motherboard or software

Is the only connection to the motherboard the 4 pin cable?  Do I need Molex or Addressable 3 pin for the RGB?  Thanks!

There are two connections coming from this fan. One is the normal 4pin fan control plug that goes to the motherboard, the 2nd connection is also a 4-pin, but for rgb, it looks a little different than a fan connector. It can go either to the motherboard, or whatever device you have controlling the rgb functionality.

will this clear a 45mm ram?

I was lucky to not need the first ram slot or it would not have fit. So I’m guessing it won’t fit over the ram.

Question 7

Installation question - what is the pin for by the hole where the bracket falls into? I installed my cooler the other night, and encountered slight difficulty when screwing in the opposite facing screws (1st one in, 2nd on across required slight pressure to lock in). Now I'm worried that the pin/hole in the middle is used for more than just alignment of the bracket. It doesn't screw in or anything, does it?

Did you figure this out? I just bought this cooler and am having the same issue, don't think the cooler is seated correctly.

Has anyone tried this with 8th generation intel cpus yet? Specifically the i5 8600k, what are your results?

I have used this cooler on a 8th gen,  i5 8400/ASUS TUF H310 Mobo and a 9th gen. i5 9600k /ASUS Z370 Mobo.
