Would this fan have any clearance issues with the ram slots or is it fine?

It would depend on the height of the memory and the motherboard put probably yes. Mine does block the first slot but that does not cause a problem for me because the first bank of memory is the second and forth slot.

can you use your own fans and can you do push pull? Does it come with extra bracket for a second fan for push pull?

Does this come with an X-bracket and does it work with the stock AM4 backplate?

The answers to the questions are yes and yes.  However, the X-bracket is not for use with the AM4 socket. In buying this cooler and installing and using it I have not heard the term "stock AM4 backplate".  Coolermaster makes a special adapter bracket which interfaces with motherboard mounted hardware adjacent to the AM4 socket and permits the MasterAir Pro 4 to be used with an AM4 socket mounted CPU.

would this be able to keep a Ryzen 1800X at 4.0Ghz cool?

I used it for an Intel I7-6700K, which is known to run hot... not as hot as the 7700K though, from what I hear.  The 6700K still runs 60°C in bursts when I run a lot of scans simultaneously -- I did not try a CPU tester program that runs every core at 100%.  The 6700K supposedly can run at 90+°C, but that seems too hot, to me.  I de-tuned the 6700K (no overclocking) and added this cooler, which keeps it at 60°C or below.  If the Ryzen 1800X runs cooler than the 6700K and 7700K (it probably does), I would think this cooler would be adequate for normal computing.  Again, I did not run any "stress test" software.

is anyone having issues with this fan giving a fan error on their machine?

I have it installed on an Asus 970Pro Gaming Aura motherboard and an FX8350 and it works perfect.

Does anyone know the TDP rating for this cooler?

No.  The TDP rating is not published but here are two facts for comparison.  The Intel spec cooler for my 7700K is also a air cooler of much less efficient design and this cooler keeps my 7700K below 85 degrees C. under all working loads which is well within spec.
