Can these cycle through the whole color spectrum on their own without being wired into the controller?

there is a switch on the back with either makes it Red, Blue or RGB, in RGB mode you need it to hook it up to a motherboard RGB controller or some other RGB controller in order for it to change colors

Has anyone measured the current draw of the RGB lighting in this fan? I need to know how many I can connect to my RGB header, I have 3 of these and would also like to add 120cm of wide beam RGB strips all off the same ASUS Aura header which is rated at 2 amps max.

Cooler Master specifications are 12 VDC rated voltage and 0.07 rated current per fan. 
I have 10 of these master fan pro 120's and 2 master fan pro 140's  in my build. I am using the Asus Maximus 9 Hero motherboard that has two RGB headers with 5 of the 120's and 1 of the 140's connected to a SilverStone LSB01 RGB control box x2. Each RGB header is running 6 fans through a LSB01. The led's are bright with great color and very quiet for a build in a double stacked case and all 12 fans running.

Which, if any, RGB fan would be sufficient for a 240mm radiator?

If you're looking for and RGB fan that's compatible with Asus Aura, ASRock RGB, Gigabyte Fusion, MSI RGB; then none. If you don't mind using and external RGB controller, then I would say go with the Corsair SP Series, SP120 RGB LED fans (CO-9050059-WW) or the Thermaltake Riing 12 RGB Series High Static Pressure 120mm (CL-F042-PL12SW-A). Both are high static and would do great on a radiator.

Hi, i was wondering if i purchase 2 120mm air balance and 2 140mm air pressure and will it be possible for me to daisy chain all of them together ?

I ended up purchasing some splitters with male connectors for the RGB connectors, and also splitters for the 4 pin power connectors on each fan, and this worked without issue.  Daisy chaining these would not do what you think it would do.  It will make a lot more sense once you actually get the fans into your hands.  The site does not show you the wires that powers the fans, and the wires that power the LEDs on the fans.  Two separate connections for power and LED lighting capabilities.  If you have an ASUS AURA SYNC capable motherboard, you can actually connect the RGB splitter(s) to the RGB connectors on the motherboard, which prevents having to have another RGB management device.

They're quite the hot demand commodity. I waited two months before they got back in stock, bought them, and saw they went out of stock that afternoon. You'll just have to patiently wait for the next restock.... sorry. (I'm not a newegg employee)

Do the rgb's take up one of the mobo rgb headers or are they set up for multiple to run through a controller?

They are setup to use a rgb header. I used a  splitter to run more than one fan and it works just fine.
