Question 1

I don't yet have a computer desk, i've been using a computer laptop desk for my bed. would this still work even on my bed? I have a 19" laptop and it gets hot when gaming, and i was hoping this would help me but i need to know if it's capable of sitting on a bed.

Its rather large, but I think you could swing it. I have used a plank of wood to support it on my lap while I lay in a waterbed, but I really do urge you get a desk for your gaming rig. Being close to frabics will clog up fans, both the laptop cooler and your machine. Also, I've proven to others that being in an upright position can improve kill death ratios.
Fyi, my laptop was so heavy it bent the frame it rests on, and kinda makes extra noise sometimes. Aside from that, I'm glad I bought it.

Question 2

the Cooler Master site lists the hub on this as USB 3.0. Is it really 2.0, as Newegg says?

I'm not sure tbh, it was a piece of junk. Threw it out about 6-7 months ago. USB ports become loose from their connection and fell into the case. One by one the ports started to become loose.

Question 3

so if this Pad is turned all the way up, should i be able to hear it? cause the one i just recieved i cant hear hardly at all at full blast

The large fans are quiet, thats the beauty of them, and they cool great. Even turned up all the way, mine in nearly silent. Love it.

I use the pad for a 17" mac – graphics and vid editing. My internal fans go off a lot, even on smaller ineffectual coolers. The internal fan has not kicked on once when i have the book on this cooler.
