Cooler Master's latest cooler, the RR-CCH-P912-GP Vortex 752, is designed to be a universal cooling solution for AMD and Intel processors in HTCP and slim-type chassis. The Vortex 752 has features normally reserved for more expensive coolers.

A pure copper base provides optimal thermal transference from the CPU and the surplus heat is transported via twin copper heat pipes to the aluminum cooling fins. A 92mm fan provides silent, 18 dBA cooling while spinning on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

This already low noise level can be lessened during periods of low thermal generation automatically by using the integrated PWM functionality which lets the BIOS monitor fan performance and thermal need and adjust the fan's speed accordingly. The mounting bracket is designed to allow the Vortex 752 to easily attach to a wide variety of Intel LGA775 processors as well as AMD CPUs using the K8 or AM2 sockets.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The pure copper base, dual copper heatpipes and high-density aluminum fins maximize heat transfer and dissipation, plus a 92mm, 2200RPM cooling fan providing a complete cooling solution for the CPU and its surrounding components.
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master RR-CCH-P912-GP features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775 platform.

Amazing!! ^.^ 7/5/2010 12:50:40 AM

Pros: Keeps it at a cool 27c idle and about 40c full load.( I currently have a Athlon 64 x2 4200+ right now ) just simply amazing though, this is a must buy.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: Its pretty big if you have a small board then you might want to think about this one, but if you done its perfect : )

My build is:

CPU: Athlon 64 x2 4200+
Mobo: MSI 770T C45
GPU: GeForce Galaxy GTS 250 512mb
Ram: 3 GB

*NOT* "low profile" 6/12/2010 12:09:38 PM

Pros: The advertising copy claiming "low profile" was exciting (but wrong).

Cons: Will not fit in Lian Li PC-C37B low-profile HTPC case -- because the center
of the fan is too high.

Overall Review: If only I'd see the other reviewer who mentioned a problem with a different
Lian Li HTPC case...

LEMON!!! 6/2/2010 4:57:02 PM

Pros: Looks good...

Cons: BAD build quality, and terrible cooling ability!!! Sloppy solder welds between base, fins, and lower heat pipes. Even worse is that there are NO welds between the upper heat pipes and fins, which are loose with NO firm contact around the upper part of the heat pipes. Loose fins on the heat pipes means very little heat transfer and even less cooling efficiency. I also have a different CoolerMaster unit with great welds all around, so I don't know why this one is SO shoddy. I recommend staying AWAY from this one because its a dud!!!

Overall Review: Pass on this one...

Fits need exactly 5/26/2010 11:09:18 AM

Pros: I recently built an HTPC that uses an AMD Phenom 720 triple core processor (got a great deal on it and a motherboard). The stock cooler/fan is wholly inadequate. I don't overclock. When the cpu is running near max, the temp spikes dangerously, nearly reaching the max temp in the AMD specs, about 70C. With the Vortex, the temp stays safely substantially below the limit, 52C when CPU is at 95%. To keep the system stable and protected from heat stress, $25 is a bargain. Can't say for sure, but I am doubtful the Vortex would provide enough cooling for overclocking.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Converting MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 or Windows Media takes a lot of processing power.

lasted 2 years 4/23/2010 6:12:00 AM

Pros: It is a great and quiet fan, perfect design for my smaller case and dropped my temps 20 degrees C. In fact, it is so good at cooling, that I leave the fan on 50% for extra quiet.

Cons: I have to add that I used it in my computer 24/7 for 2 years and it finally gave up on me. It started making noises, getting louder, and had an obiovus ball-bearing failure.

Overall Review: At 2 years, 265 days per year, and 24 hours per day = 17,000+ hours of great operation before dying. I can't give it 5 eggs, but for the price, how can you beat it?

Don't buy Cooler Master 3/23/2010 12:41:45 AM

Pros: Small and quiet. And it's cheap, so you don't feel so bad about having to throw it away.

Cons: Bearing failure after 6 months of use. I guess you get what you pay for. Furthermore, their warranty is worthless because you can't get them to RMA.

Overall Review: The company replied to a previous review of mine offering to RMA the part & replace it under warranty. I then applied for the RMA they offered, but after a full 7-day week, my request is still "pending". Apparently they're not as eager to RMA something as they are to *offer* to RMA it so that a bad review doesn't look so bad. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM COOLER MASTER! Seriously, folks, there are other fans that are actually better and even quieter, so just spend a few extra bucks and get something from a company that makes a better product, or at least will stand behind their product.
