Question 1

Can this fit a 17 inch laptop? because ive seen other coolers say that they fit 17 inch but in reality it only fits 15 inches?

Yes, just fine, I have my 18 " on this and there is about one inch of room left on each side, so could handle bigger and mine is a wide screen gaming acer. This is the best set up I have seen for laptop cooler, has very high speed and low speed is pretty quite. its a win in my book

Can this cooler be powered up via USB or is it only through an AC adapter?

AC adapter appear to be the only way.  the fans have quite high speeds and can be pretty loud at max speed.

Question 3

Hello to all that have purchased this unit. My gaming laptop is designed to suck air in from the top surface (right above the keyboard) and push it through the bottom vents underneath the laptop. I have yet to see anyone post a comment on any laptop cooler, that describes which way the cooling fan draws in cool air, and which direction it pushes the hot air out? If anyone could please answer this question that would be great.

Most cooling pads I know take in air from the bottom and push it out the top. With this particular one you want to prop it up if you're using it on the table so it has more air to draw from, or it doesn't work nearly as well. (Using it on my lap doesn't seem to be as big a deal so long as I keep my legs a little spread.)

Question 4

Simple question, how does this laptop cooling pad work on actual laps? I use my laptop on my lap 99% of the time. (hence laptop not desktop replacement)

You could put this on your lap, don't think it would be a huge issue. I personally use it for my gaming laptop and have an attached keyboard and mouse and use it on a desk. This cooling pad isn't the best built just fyi. The buttons are unstable meaning that I've pressed some of them and they get stuck in the plastic shell casing. The fans do work on keeping my laptop at a low temp.

I lost the usb cord connecting the cooling pad to my laptop. Does anyone know what type of cord this is and where I can buy one? Also, does the LED lighting only work with it connected to the laptop? My LED lights don't work, but I remember them working when I had the cord attached to my laptop. Thanks.

I actually had an issue with the LEDs flickering. Honestly I think they are going out. Thankfully they do not affect the proformence of the device, however it does bother me as I am concerned the rest of the device might be as shoty as the LEDs. Now about the USB you will need a Mini B. You can search on Newegg for;

has anyone used this for the lenovo y510p with duel graphics card and has it helped in anyway?

Haven't used it with a dual drive.  I do have an Alienware 17" which lost its first video card to heat.  I bought this after installing a new video card and haven't had a bit of problems with heat.
