I am looking at purchasing the soundblaster zxr from your website. I am also looking at purchasing the CM Storm Sirus True 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset from newegg as well.  Is the soundblaster zxr a 5.1 sound sound card? How would I get the 5.1 sound from my sound card to my headphones? Thank you

Yes the Sound Blaster ZxR is a 5.1 channel card, and you can hook it up to these headphones, but I'm not sure they are a great combination.

First, the CM Storm Cirus True 5.1 already includes a USB 5.1 sound card in the "Tactical Mixing Station".  If you are connecting the headset to the Sound Blaster you won't use the mixing station so you can save money buying the CM Storm Sirus S True 5.1 SGH-4000-KW5A1.  It is the same headset but without the "Tactical Mixing Station" USB sound card.

Second, the Sound Blaster "Audio Control Module" (The large headset volume nob and noise canceling microphone unit) doesn't support 5.1 headphones so you won't be able to use it.

In my opinion you would be better of either just getting the Storm Sirus and using the Mixing Console, or buying the Sound Blaster and a different headset using Virtual 5.1.

If you do end up buying the Sound Blaster and the Sirus, you will need a 3.5mm Stereo to RCA Y splitter cable to connect you headset to the Sound Blaster's Left and Right speaker outputs and then plug in the Rear L/R and Center/Sub cables to the appropriate plugs on the Sound Blaster.

Is the audio controller only usable with the USB or can you use it with the analog connectors too?

The audio controller (knob) is only usable with USB connection, also the driver software is also only usable with USB connection. If you connect over analog you can not use the puck/knob and you will have to rely on your soundcard's driver software. Really the analog connections shouldn't even be included with this headset as the headset sounds very quite and pretty terrible when connected that way. On the other hand when connecting over USB the sound is perfect, and you have a huge range tweaks and options in the driver software and you also have full level control via the puck as well. The driver software is some of the best I have seen for any soundcard or headset. I got this for the dual hook-up options and planned on using the analog connections to plug into a DAC connected to my PS4, but the headset has absolutely no volume when connected over analog, so I will be returning as I want a headset that will work with my PC and my PS4.

Is this headset compatabe with ps4???

I don't think so as these really take advantage of the cooler master software audio utility to help the user customization of the audio experience.

Is this compatible for pc? Is it wired or wireless? Is it worth the price?

Yes, I'm using it on a PC playing Ghost Recon: Online right now. It is wired. Worth the price? Well, it's a solid headset that has held up good. Sound quality takes some getting used to, but is otherwise pretty good.

Question 6

The dial that comes with the headphones does not show the LED's when to indicate there is sound coming from them. Does anyone know of a fix?

why would you need such a thing? there is a + sign on the volume up side a - on the volume lower side. you really need a light to know there is sound coming from them?
