50mm DriversThe massive 50mm drivers greatly reduce the overloading and distortion that can occur with gaming headsets that use 40mm drivers. You get more accurate sound reproduction (particularly for the all-important low-frequency effects). You hear more audio, more cleanly, and you get a competitive advantage.
High-sensitivity Noise-cancelling MicrophoneWhether you're barking instructions to your teammates or chatting with old friends, you deserve to be heard. The unidirectional, noise-cancelling microphone is tuned to capture your voice loudly and clearly, while screening out distracting background noises. And, it flips out of sight when you’re not using it. In addition, the circumaural closed-back design also blocks distracting sounds and keeps your head in the game, and the extra-large inline volume and microphone control is easy to grab and use when the action heats up — you don't need to take your eyes off the screen.
Analog Stereo Inputs and Mic OutputThe dual 3.5mm connectors work with the highest quality PC sound card. If you have a high-end sound card, the Vengeance 1300 will do it justice. If your audio card has CMSS-3D or a similar 3D audio system, you’ll hear the subtle midband positional cues that you need to enjoy accurate 3D audio and play your best. Gaming sound designers work hard to make audio sound great, and your high-end sound card and Vengeance 1300 are a great combination for making that happen.
Superior ComfortThe extra-wide, extra deep earcups don’t just help things sound great — they feel better, too. Customize your comfort with synthetic leather covers. Both use memory foam earpads for a comfortable, reliable fit that conforms to the shape of your head without binding or pinching.

Corsair Vengeance 1300 Analog Gaming Headset Warranty Guide
Great headphones, what a pair!6/12/2012 5:17:44 PM
Pros: * Comfy. They fit snugly around the ears. Not too tight either, so they work well if you happen to wear glasses.
* Noise-canceling. Be careful not to attempt a conversation with your significant other, or be watching/listening to something "questionable" with these on. You won't hear them coming unless you use the driver program to redirect your mic to output (cool!)
* Fairly solid construction. Like most headphones, don't be rough, but these seem sturdy enough.
* Stylish. These things do look neat on your head!
Cons: * Not USB. Not a huge deal, but helps sometimes. Could be annoying if you don't have easy access to your audio jack.
* Not a whole lot of bass. These aren't music headphones, at least in my opinion, so judge them accordingly. There is some tweaking you can do in the driver software to add some bass for a little richer sound effect.
Overall Review: The driver software comes with nifty effects and tweaks for the headphones. Aside from the basic equalizer, there are room effects and sound positioning (if I remember correctly).
These made a perfect birthday present for my brother. I think he prefers them to his Logitech speakers!
Corsair makes quality headphones. I personally own a pair, and I have bought another to share the joy. They are comfy, sturdy, and provide crisp, clear sound.

You NEED a decent soundcard.7/6/2012 10:18:47 AM
Pros: Great across the entire spectrum of sound, the '3D' works great in my music and in games though I've only tested them in Skyrim.
The bass will shake the headset itself if you have a good sound card and a headphone amp with the right equalizer settings. (for reference I'm using the Asus xonar_dg).
You really need something other than motherboard audio especially considering all of the background static they have.
Solid build, I don't feel like I'm going to break them and they look very nice in person.
They do everything extremely well save for bass. Bass it just does.. Okay. Will never stand up to sony's extra bass headphones though.
Cons: The actual sides of the headphones feel like a hollow plastic which isn't a bad thing though it does make it feel a bit cheap.
Considering I have long hair I can't comment on comfort, my hair pads the headset enough as it is.
They are a little quiet, but not overly. You eventually get used to the amount of volume coming out of them.. they also feel like they need a little breaking in. If you don't like them the first few days give them a chance, they start to get a little louder after a day or two if that makes sense.
The 3.5mm connectors do look a little on the weak side, be gentle with them and try not to disconnect them unless you need to. No need to put extra wear on them.
Nit picking, but the mic drops down in blocks.. Like theres one setting two setting three setting etc. Not a smooth pull down, so it feels like there are gears instead of a wheel.
They aren't the best for movies, but everything else should suit your needs.
Overall Review: These are the best settings I found for them via my equalizer.

Pros: Comortable. The memory foam is good even with my glasses on. The headset is light which typically indicates a lot of plastic in them but they won't weigh on your head and they feel solid. Good sound IF you take the time tweek them. Mic seems fine but I haven't tested it thoroughly yet. The audio reproduction is very crisp and clear. I am hearing things when playing music that has been muddled by other headsets I own.
This require tweeking to get to sound good. You MUST have a equalizer at the very least to set the balances. I found that if you boost the 62 and 125 HZ range, there is MORE than enough bass even at lower volumes - and it is clean bass, too. Very nice. You may also need to boost the 1K to 2K range to get the voices to not sound hollow. This, again, depends on your source. Personally, I am powering this with a aftermarket USB soundcard - Creative xfi go! - and it works great. A enthusiat soundcard would make it even better.
Cons: They start out pretty large. If you have a small head these might not work for you. I don't have a small head and the cups on these reach down to my jaw which I am not used to. Part of this may be the 50mm drivers. To the degree people are looking for this, this is NOT a plug and play headset and it probably requires more than an onboard audio chip to make sound decent. Most of the complaints about sound here are probably from people who expected to just plug the headset in to their onboard audio and have it sound fantastic. Well, as with all higher end audio equipment, they simply get better at reproducing your source material. If you have a cheap audio source like onboard audio, this headset will point that out for you really quickly.
Overall Review: Always approach reviews of audio equipment with caution. In the age of MP3s, compressed audio, and earbuds, I really believe that a lot of people don't know what good sound is like anymore. "Lack of bass" might mean that the headset doesn't boom with the type muddled, overpowered bass that most people have grown accustomed to from most mid-line consumer audio equipment.
That said, when I first plugged in the 1300, I was immediately disappointed but then I just took some time messing with settings and I realized just how good the headset was. It is not the best set of headphones I have had the privelege of using but it is probably the best gaming headset I have used.
Final thought, even though this is plastic almost everywhere, it seems pretty solid. My biggest complaint about gaming headsets is that they break even with careful and normal use. The only thing that looks vulnerable to me on this headset is the mic. It doesn't tuck away quite as well as I would like.

Corsair knows there stuff2/2/2012 4:19:09 PM
Pros: To start off I had originally purchased the older Corsair HS1A from newegg roughly 8 months ago. Like most headsets, I ran into connection issues within the first year. However, having heard how well Corsair takes care of customer, I decided to try and see if I could have it repaired under warranty. I spent 2 days waiting to get an RMA (which is fast in my opinion), had to ship the old one to them at my cost (what is $10 really?), and then they sent me a BRAND NEW 1300 in exchange (wow was I happy). All in all it was about a 2 week process, but well worth it to get replacement on an original $80 investment.
That being said this headset is just as good as the last one! The sound is bright and clear, and once again it is more comfortable then any other headset I have ever owned. Corsair will have me as a customer for life if they keep this kind of service and quality up!
Cons: Would have liked to see the return of the Microfiber earmuffs, but not a total loss.
Overall Review: There is a noticeable difference from the HS1A, but not all bad. The sound is louder, which was used to be an issue. But, like the HS1A the base is still kind of lacking. Once again though I would say that is more due to not having an amplified sound card then the actual headset. It still sounds clean and fantastic to my ears.
Also the mic is not as flexible as the older model, however isn't a con because it is still very functional.

These sound terrific!!!10/9/2012 4:19:45 PM
Pros: -Just $60
-Bass sounds awesome
-These headphones sound better than my Genius 5.1 surround
-Built in drivers, so plug and play.
-They say you need a dedicated sound card, but I just have Nvidia High Definition audio(GTX570) and integrated sound from my MB ASUS M5A88-M, and these sound terrific.
-Very durable, so far, and connection cable is well threaded.
-Mic works.
-Overall these fit so well and are more comfortable than a lot of Logitechs Ive seen.
-Very pleased with these.
-Oh and not just games, but music sound great on these as well.
-Great bass.
Cons: Not all that many features.
Not the 1500 which is 7.1 surround, but also have to install drivers and use USB port.
And since they aren't surround, I have to go into Realtek HD audio manager every time I use them to change the 5.1 surround setting to Stereo so I can hear the bass in the headphones, but no big deal.
And while durable, the cable connected to the volume and mic control was a little loose and started to come out. I was able to see some of the inner wires, so I had to put it back in and used electrical tape to fix it. They still work perfect, and I might have tugged too hard myself, so I am not removing an egg for that. But it has happened.
For the price might be able to get a better pair, but I loved the way these looked and fit. Lets hope they last.
Overall Review: So it is a great buy for anyone looking to get a Gaming Headset for not too much money. You can get better, but if you don't have the best sound card, just a modern motherboard, these should work fine.
Great entry level headset. Glad I bought it.
Pros: Standard ear comfort, can last for a long time without providing headaches. Distorts outside sounds effectively.
Cons: What in Hellall mighty were they thinking? Upon purchase, everyone I Skyped reported massive feedback at seemingly random points of every conversation I had. The microphone contacter did go bad quickly, but not before everyone I knew demanded I switch to my old headset built by Plantronics.
Overall Review: I don't understand how this much of a publicized headset could be so worthless. Poor sound quality accompanied by the worst voice isolation possible.
Pros: * Comfy. They fit snugly around the ears. Not too tight either, so they work well if you happen to wear glasses. * Noise-canceling. Be careful not to attempt a conversation with your significant other, or be watching/listening to something "questionable" with these on.
