Overall Review: I have owned this RAM for probably 1 year now with no problems. Run at default speed 8-3-3. Worked with 2 other sticks of Kingston 512 PC3200 DDR, but beware:
I ran the NVPerformance benchmark that came with my mobo, and I was killing all the NVIDIA Baseline specs by miles, EXCEPT the memory. I investigated and realize the RAM was only running at 333MHz when 4 sticks of DDR are installed. So to test, I pulled the 2x512 Kingston sticks out leaving the 2x1GB Corsair, and alas my speeds returned to 400MHz AND I was scoring significantly higher scores in my memory benchmark.
I realize I was mixing RAM capacity, so it may not have been so bad if they were all the same capacity sticks. Also I hear rumors about new BIOS revisions to fix it, but unsure and not willing to test on my stable BIOS.
All in all I guess thats another reason to buy larger capacity 1GB RAM over a 512 chip, so you can get the same #GB out of less sticks, with faster clock speeds.
Pros: Works as advertised
Cons: This memory is $15 more than it was six months ago. Rebate from Corsair especially slow. Plan on three months to receive the rebate. Most reviews written when memory was priced $25, not $40. Make sure you keep all info regarding rebate and make sure Corsair honors rebate.
Overall Review: Why has price gone up for this type of memory in the last six months instead of gone down?
Cons: I have purchased 2 different modules of these at 2 different times and they have both been bad modules, do not buy Corsair Value Select Memory, I will no longer buy from Corsair and they require you to pay shipping to have it replaced for. Why should you have to pay shipping for a product you have that is bad?
Overall Review: I'm done with Corsair!
Pros: This thing has been great for me no problems what so ever for me and I've had this little over 2 years now. I am getting ready to buy 2 more sticks
Overall Review: Great product and thanks to Newegg always great buying from you. Never will shop anywhere else for computer products.
Pros: It works fine. System accepted it without issue
Overall Review: Drop the price $10 or more. This stuff is old and outdated. Why is it STILL $25/stick??
Pros: Absolutely none!
Cons: My computer has never went "NUTS" until I installed this !
Within the first three minutes, my computer started randomly rebooting over and over and over ...ad nauseum!
Pros: Used to upgrade memory in a Dell Dimension 4600 from 768MB to 2GB. Easy and cheap!
