Question 1

The intake fans in the front look to be in a pretty weird position. It doesn't look like they'd take in very much outside air. It kind of seems like they'd just be pushing around the air already inside the case.

Can anyone give me an idea how big of a difference the farther-back placement of the fans make?

This case rocks, glad I bought it, the air intakes seem to do fine, they actually blow more air across the motherboard in this config and suck the air in through the front grill with filters and pass by the drive bays. Unless you have some super hot stuff in there the two fans seem to do fine. I got 2 SSD drives, a large HD and a DVD in there and still have more room. Case comes with three fans plus have a CPU fan and memory fan. Running overclocked i7 on an Asus Z87 MB with 32 GB OC 2400 memory. Love the fact that the sides of the case just clip off like an army ammo can (which is what the case looks like too) and the top handles make moving it a breeze. The case itself has lots of air moving through it due to the side and top grills, which can also be used to mount additional fans (2 on side or 2 on top/liquid cooling output space as well).

Question 2

Might be a dumb question, but are the little handles on top of the case functional, or just for show? (i.e. can you confidently carry the full weight of the machine with them?)

The "little handles" shown on top of the Vengeance are fully functional and will support not only the full weight of the box (which is solid as a rock if still made like the two I bought) in addition to a full mobo rig, 3 internal HDD's, 2GB graphics card, six fans, etc, etc. Hope this helps! And yes...I would absolutely buy the same box again.

Question 3

I see that the window panel has a mesh opening on the side of it.

Does the case come included with any means of covering those holes up? I do not have any real desire to use them, and I wish to prevent any dust ingress from those openings?. Am I stuck just buying aftermarket dust filters?

It doesn't. If you wanted to you could mount fans in the window to exhaust air if you didn't want it to pull dust in or you can go with an aftermarket window. I didn't use mine for a while and I never really had a major issue with dust getting in my case without fans installed on the side window because I have my intake fans mounted where the filter screens are and on exhaust fan in the rear of the case. Usually the pressure of the air being pulled in through the filters was enough to keep air exhausting through the back and side window to keep a good bit of dust out. I occasionally blow my system out with can air just to keep things dust free every few months. You can also get a clear plastic sheet and cut it to size and just mount it on the inside using the corner screw holes to keep it installed. All in all this is a great case to use. I've had mine for almost 2 years and never had any issues with it.

Question 4

Will this case fit the big VGA card like the MSI GTX 780 Lightning? or you have to move the driver bays to fit in?

Yes, this case is really huge and roomy and has been one of my favorites to build in. I have a Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti 448 Core in this case, which I believe is roughly the same length as the 780, and there's about 2-1/2 inches of room (enough that you don't feel cramped installing things) between the drive bay fans and the card.

Another good thing is that the drive bays face to the side of the case, so you can pull drives in and out without having to worry about hitting anything installed on the motherboard, which is a problem with a lot of the cheaper cases I've worked in.

It's really too bad you can't attach pictures to these answers!

Question 5

Could you put some LED fans in the front where the corsair logo is?

If I remember right (I'm not looking at it right now) the case comes with 2 fans up front, 2 on the side window and 1 in the rear. The front of the case pops off and the fans are bolted to the main frame, so any 120mm fan should fit inside the slots.
 I can post a better update when I get a chance to, but you can install your own fans if you want to. The case is very versatile. Ill see about pulling some pics too.

Question 6

Product specs say that this case has room for a 240mm radiator like the H100, but the H110 also says that it is compatible with the C70 case. Does the 280mm actually fit as well?

Have no personally tried it but I have an H100i and I can imagine with a H110 there would be plenty of space seeing as there is so much extra room even with a H100i the one thing that I would be kind of worried about is that maybe it would obstruct the first optical bay but If I were you just look up some videos/pictures and see if that problem occurs

Question 7

Is seems as if the front grill does not pop out from the front for easy cleaning of the filters -- is this true? I do see that there is a removable horizontal bottom tray that can be pulled out but most of the build up of dust should be on the vertical front filters, no??

If i could just move the "left" side panel (left as in from facing the front) that wouldn't be too-too bad, but having to remove both panels is a huge hassle, since my case will reside in a cubby. With my current build,  I collect enough dust to the point of needing to clean it every week or two, so having to pull the case fully out and remove both side panels that often for this case would be a huge PIA.

One last question. I have exactly 19.75" in height available in said cubby. Do the listed specs of 19.72" factor in everything, such as foot pegs and the top handle?

How deep are the panel indents? Like if I were to lay the panel on the ground with the inside facing down, how high in 'mm' would the window be off the floor?

Solid panel measures 4mm to outside edge. As for the window panel: the window itself is 2mm thick and is inset by 1mm, meaning it measures 3mm to outside and 1mm to the inside of window. Also, the inside of window is lined with 16 nubs that fasten the window to panel frame with screws - these stick up off the window surface about 1 cm.

Would there be enough clearance to fit a Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler?

I can't say for sure, as I'm using the stock cooler that came with my CPU, but there appears to be a lot of clearance, as there's nothing between the cooler and the clear wall of the case.

Question 10

I'm looking to build a new PC and was wondering how quiet this case is?  I currently have a Corsair Graphite Series 600T, for reference.

It is not the most quiet case out there, the latches on the top rattle sometimes but very quietly. Although my computer sits right up next to me and doesn't catch my attention all that much, so it is not a 'noisy' case by any means. If you are trying to find a truly quiet case, this is not the one for you.
