Question 1

I have a Corsair H115i liquid CPU cooler. Would this fan work as an upgrade to the SP140 Corsair fans that come with it, or would it not?

Yes, I have a 280mm H115i with two red mag lev 140s. Just make sure your mobo has 2 four pin CPU fan connectors (a primary CPU and an aux). Otherwise you will need a splitter. This is so your fans will adjust at the same speed depending on your temps.

Question 2

Can I use two of these using a splitter from the same fan header on the motherboard?  Or would that slow these fans down and not let them run at their full potential?

I have 5 of them. My exhaust is on its own header. Both of the ones on my rad for my cpu cooler (corsair) are on they're own headers. The intakes are pulling over rads for dual evga 1080 ftw hybrids and they're split to a single header. They run great and I have no problems with them adjusting to the software (I'm using an Asus Maximus Hero Alpha 8 mobo) from Asus. The only issue is that all the software I've tried using to monitor speeds and temps says they run at a much higher rpm then I believe they are. I think it just adds the two fans rpms and displays them as one larger number, but the actual speed of them is much lower...what it should be. If you can get past the numbers being displayed wrong they'll work fine. Hope this helps. Any other questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer.

i read that HDD's can be damaged by magnets so i was wondering if these fans would damage my HDD? Since it would be right behind these fans.

Nope, unless you stick the magnet into your hdd. My hdd is next to the fan too and I have no problem at all.

Question 4

how many watts does this need to be ran at 100%? Just asking as a precaution.

should max out at around 3.64 watts at 100%. if you are worried about watts from a case fan then maybe you should get a bigger power supply
