CORSAIR Gaming Series not for gaming 1/5/2018 8:53:04 AM

Pros: The power supply has been stable for most use for browsing.

Cons: When I play Starcraft 2, 10-20 minutes into the game, the system will shutdown and reboot. I found no crash dump. Windows event log shows no bug check, only a kernel power event. It is consistent for the 10+ tries. I believe it is not a software failure because I tried older drivers from Nothing in the system is overclocked. MSI afterburner shows around 60% GPU load during gaming. I tried both 8pin PCIE power connector. It made no difference. 600W should be enough for this config.

After replacing the power supply, the problem went away.

Overall Review: System spec: Intel core i5-4430 CPU + Gigabyte Z87 motherboard + Gigabyte GTX 1070, GPU, Samsung 4K monitor.
Windows 10 version 1709

Good 11/16/2013 5:16:21 PM

Pros: -Durable (2 years old and still going) unlike my OCZ 600W Power Supply.
-Looks great
-Nice On/Off Switch for blue LED for your preference.

Cons: -Airflow is pulled from the bottom towards the top. This is a pain if your rig is setup in a dusty area (lucky I was a clean freak with my rig, so I noticed it). I wish they had stated that somewhere.
-Not Modular

Overall Review: I took an egg off because of the airflow issue. The lack of modular design I knew was coming when I purchased it.
Aside from the Airflow issue I would recommend this Power Supply to a 1st time builder, or someone with a very tight budget.

Very Solid Power Supply 8/22/2012 10:24:10 AM

Pros: This 600 watt power supply has been running in my computer for 16 months now and I have never had an issue. I'm able to overclock my i5-2500k to 4.4 ghz in turbo mode with no issues with a Geforce 670 GTX. It's quiet so im able to sleep with it on in my room with no problem.

Cons: Not Modular so wire clutter in a mid tower is going to happen.

Overall Review: As said above, this power supply has held my system up for 16 months no problem

Amazing... but then broke 8/19/2012 8:47:13 PM

Pros: It had all of the features I needed the good efficiency, all of the cables, easy to screw in and it was awesome worked right out of the box.

Cons: Then it started crashing my computer and now it won't turn on. The power button is plugged in correctly.

Overall Review: Hopefully the new one will be good.

DOA 8/8/2012 7:50:47 PM

Pros: solid build, looks clean

Cons: well.... it was dead when it got here, tried 3 different outlets thinking maybe my luck was that bad, but nope, it was the psu... which really sucks, because now i cant check the rest of my build to see if i have any other items that need an RMA.

Overall Review: will rate again along with rest of build once it comes back.

Wonderful PSU 8/7/2012 4:24:43 PM

Pros: I haven't had this for long but so far it's been great. 600 watts seems plenty enough to power my system so far which easily ran on my previous 500 watt as well. I purchased this knowing I would be upgrading so I figured this would do fine. I found it extremely easy to install, not even 15 minutes and I had this thing hooked up to my system and easily powering it. The LED is a pretty nice gimmick as well, it lights up nearly my entire case! But if I'm not feeling like it, with a push of a button I can just turn it off. I am planning on upgrading to a new EVGA GeForce 560 graphics card soon so I will update this review when I see how it goes with that. In the mean time thanks Corsair and NewEgg for a great product!

Cons: It isn't modular, but I'm used to that so for me it isn't really a con just more of an inconvenience...

Overall Review: A great PSU for a low to medium to high grade gaming PC.

Pros: Was unsure whether it was enough for my system as a first time builder, however it seems to be fine and running cool. Albeit I don't have too much in my system; I'd assume with two GPUs I'd need a better PSU which I don't plan on.

Cons: Maybe the Blue LED light if you don't like LEDs? It matches my other LED light's color so it's whatever.

Built to NOT last 6/13/2012 12:01:00 PM

Pros: It looks cool and is silent.

Cons: It died within less than one year. Corsair now has a reputation for making junk. Make sure you get a LONG warranty if you're going to waste your money on this.

Overall Review: I will never shop Corsair again.
