Any sort of thermal compound needed? Noticed installation videos, one from Corsair themselves, didn't appear to use any.

The thermal compound comes pre-applied to the base of the water block. I don't know what kind of compound they're using but the temps are great. I have some more advanced compound but I'm saving it since I didn't want to deal with the mess of cleaning the block and re-applying the compound.

Question 2

I noticed in the picture of what contents come with this cooling unit that it does NOT come with a bracket for AMD CPUs, I want some of you to confirm that it doesnt, if not, then where can i get one? Thanks

Yep. It comes with the mounting brackets for AMD and Intel processors. Comes with mounting screws for the mounting brackets, fans and radiator. The contact side of the cooler comes with heat sink goo already applied. Had this set up for month and seems to be pretty good.
Wisdoms says you should buy extra heat sink goo. Just in case you goof up the application. I fouled the goo application and  remounted it with Artic-Silver 3. See the product tour on NewEgg and wear a wrist strap when installing.

Question 3

Will this fit with G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory?

This will depend on the motherboard that you pick out as well as possibly the size case. I purchased an ASUS Maximus VI Hero board for my Intel 4770k & I had enough room using Corsair Vengence ram. I used the 1st & 3rd slot as directed by the motherboard manufacturer & I also had enough room in my Corsair 500D case. This water cooler is awesome, but things can get a little snug. If you go with an Asus Maximus VI board, it should definitely fit, but I would really take into account how the board is set up & where the ram slots are in relation to where you mount the radiator. I mounted my radiator on the top of my case. I hope this feedback helps.

Question 4

I have finished building my first PC and now it turns out my motherboard needs to be replaced :(  When reinstalling the CPU on the replacement mobo would I need to clean the thermal paste from the cooling block and CPU and apply fresh paste, or can I reuse the original used paste already on them?  If I need fresh thermal paste, how would I clean the cooling block/CPU?  And any recommendations for thermal paste I can buy?  It goes on an i7-4770k.

I'd recommend cleaning the old paste and applying new paste. When I upgraded from my stock Intel CPU cooler to the H100i, I used cotton swabs (others recommend a coffee filter) and rubbing alcohol. Try your best to go for the 99% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Or if you can't find that the 90% will work. Just remember to be gentle when cleaning the top of the CPU and allow it time to dry. And be sure not to dump it on or such, just get the tip of the swab or filter moist with the liquid and lightly rub the paste off. Try to make sure no lint is left behind. Oh, and avoid touching anything with your bare hands because of the oils in your skin and what not. As for the paste, I used/recommend the Artic Silver 5, high-density polysynthetic silver thermal compound. You can find it on Newegg, it's quite cheap and has numerous positive reviews.

Question 5

Does the H110 come with the  thermal paste?

Hey Jackson, The H110 does come with thermal paste, however I recommend replacing their thermal paste with some arctic silver ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007 ). To do that, when you receive it, remove the pre-applied thermal paste from the copper heatsink using a dry paper towel. Then, spread a thin, even layer of the arctic silver over the same area that the pre-applied thermal paste covered. I like to use an old credit card to apply thermal paste. Be careful not to get any on your skin, in your eyes, etc. Wear cheap plastic gloves if you have them.

Question 6

What is the liquid inside of this product made of? Is it conductive? Should I be worried about its' contents being spilled on the inside of my pc?

Type this in Google - Conductive liquid on corsair h100i and select the 3rd one down - post #11 will explain evereything.

The liquid in these units is most certainly conductive, and there is the possible chance of it breaking, but the rate of this happening seems pretty low.

Question 7

I have a case with slots for 2 200mm fans up top. Can this be made to fit my case?

I had the same issue and in my case the answer was no. My two slots would have placed those two fans about one half inch apart from each other while the fans for the H100i are almost touching each other; thus the inside mounts(screw holes) were too close together. If you can mount two fans and they almost touch, then I say maybe; but because you have a radiator and two fans, I also had an issue with my ram being in the way. Even Corsair techs at corsaires help desk wasn't much help on this. My final solution was to buy a corsair case that clearly states in their documentation i H100i compatible; otherwise your better off with the H60.

Question 8

Does this product come with thermal paste or will i have to buy that separate?

It brings an already pre applied thermal paste. I installed it out of the box and so far it keeps my CPU at 37-39 at load. Maybe 42 with some gaming. I do have it in a push and pull config. I recommend getting a better thermal paste but just know the paste that comes with it gets the job done well

Question 9

It states in the specifications that this product is compatible with LGA 1150. Joanne however points out in the video that the box does not say anything about support for LGA 1150. My question being is this product compatible with LGA 1150?

Yes this is compatible with LGA 1150.  I have this working great right out of the box on my Asus Maximus VI Hero with the Intel Core i7-4770K.

I would recommend using PC Part Picker in the future as it works great for narrowing down products and checking compatibility.

Question 10

Will this work on a AM3+ sabertooth 990fx with and AMD 8150? 
First time trying something like this. Thanks for the help.

You should be fine to install the H100i on any AM3 socket cpu.  It comes with the brackets for both AMD and Intel chips.

Before you commit to the purchase though, search youtube for "H100i and AM3+ 8150".  I saw a few videos there of people installing the cooler on their AM3.  If you're unsure about how well it will work with your cpu you can watch some videos to help get an idea of what you are getting into with this install.
