Is the Power Connection 3 or 4 pin?

The 2 Fans are 3 pin and the pump is 3 pin. The pump runs at a steady 1500 and needs to be plugged into a fan header other than the CPU fan header/s. The other 2 can be plugged into your CPU fan header/s. Just a little warning, do not try to adjust the pump speed as it may burn up the pump. It has been a great cooler so far. I hope that helps.

Ok this might be a dumb question but does it come with the water already in it or do I have to buy my own water if so what water should I buy?

The water cooler comes ready to install.  You do not have to add water or maintain it's level as it is a closed system.  Super great cooler.  Perfect when run with a PWM.  You won't regret it and Corsair's customer service is great.

Question 3

I am new to liquid cooling and have heard a lot. Will I need a water pump/reservoir to run this? Does one come with this liquid cooling system? If not, where should I find one?

I was new to liquid cooling myself, and after doing a little research I was able to snag the H110 on a Xmas sale. It has worked very nicely ever since, although you will need to ensure your case can fit it. There are many that say it will fit, but some will require that you leave your uppermost drive bay empty to accommodate it or to make slight modifications. I chose to upgrade to a Corsair C70 "Vengeance" case and have found it to be the best I have owned yet, and it it fully supports the extra large rad.

Now to answer your question more directly:

No this radiator does not require any external/extra pumps or reservoirs to run. It is a self contained system and will only require a 3-pin PWM  (might have been a 4-pin, been a while...) power connector to run the the pump. The fans will require their own power connectors, but if your mobo does not have a enough, there are many y-splitters available for $2-$10 that do the job nicely.

Hey I was wondering if this will fit my 4770k on a sabertooth z77 mother board ? It does not say in the specs if it will fit 1150 socket

Yup it'll fit, you'll end up using the "1155" (Ivy Bridge) holes when mounting the backplate. I've used the smaller version of this (H90 - 140mm radiator) on two Haswell systems now. As always, make sure you're careful setting that coldplate down on the CPU and to always tighten in a criss-cross pattern.

Question 5

I watched the tech installation video he showed to clean off the CPU  but did not mention to put thermal adhesive back on it? does the corsair unit come with some on it? or is it not needed?

Hi John,

The H110 water cooler that I bought came with thermal compound pre-applied.  I prefer to use the same compound on both surfaces and compound rather than adhesive so it will be easier to remove and clean in the future.  I used isopropyl alcohol and an eyeglasses cloth to clean the surface.  You could also use a coffee filter - the idea is to eliminate lint, fingerprints and any other extraneous debris for a good surface connection.  I also, like to pre-tint both surfaces before applying the small amount of compound needed.

This probably more information than you asked for, but Arctic Silver has a good reference  article on this in their Help section.

I do not get a kick back from Arctic Silver or the coffee filter company and I definitely do not recommend putting Arctic Silver in your coffee. ;)

Will this work on a AM3+ sabertooth 990fx with and AMD 8150?

Absolutely. This watercooler allows for AM3+ processors. You will need to remove the stock backplate that comes with the motherboard so you can install the aftermarket backplate that comes with the cooler.

Question 7

I currently have an AMD 1090t, but i plan on upgrading to a 4670k.

however socket 1150 isen't listed in the description, am i out of luck on this?

When looking at a product with Newegg I always check the Specifications. Newegg always gives great detail of the product. If you look at the Specs you will see in the left column BLOCK Compatibility  and to the right it gives details on the CPU's this cooler will work with. Here is the answer to your question. Yes this Cooler will work with the 1150 socket. in the specs it states it will work with these CPU's Intel LGA 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011
AMD AM2 / AM3 / FM1 / FM2

The only thing I had to do with this cooler is get some washers and use them with the screws so that I could make it fit in my case, I had the screw in the cooler and the washer overlap the hole in my case to tighten up and hold it in place. I have the Cooler Master HAF-X. I hope this information was helpful...

Question 8

I just want to know if this can be mounted in the top part of a case.  with the lines hanging downward.  (ex. you laid this flat on a table with the hoses hanging) would or does the pump have enough power to circulate the coolant?

Corsair actually recommended that this cooler be installed in the top two slots.

The pump is definitely strong enough to pump the coolant  upwards into the radiator.

It does a great job cooling my cpu so I would imagine it is very efficient in moving the coolant.

can u add more fans to make this push pull?

Yes you can. just make sure you have long enough screws for mounting still depending on your setup. I have mine running push pull and set to the top of my case.

Is there thermal paste preapplied to the H110? Also will it fit into the NZXXT Phantom 820? Thanks

Yes there is thermal paste already applied. I believe that the NZXT Phantom 820 is set up for 140, 120 and 200mm fans. I believe that you will have no issues mounting the H110. Hope this helps.
