Stupid Question probably, but does this require any kind of reservoir?

No. It's a completely sealed unit and is prefilled with coolant at the factory. Don't need anything else beside what's already in the box. Simple installation, lot of videos available for that.

Does the H50 come with thermal compound?

Hey Cory,

Yes, below is a quote from the page under Features.
"LATEST GENERATION MICRO-FIN COPPER COLD PLATE WITH PRE-APPLIED THERMAL COMPOUND"

I do not own the H50 however, I have the H100i GTX which came with the pre-applied compound. I don't recall any additional compound with the package.

It is on the product already. Not separate from it. I used what was on the unit and it works great.

Question 4

Plain and simple.... Will this fit in the top of a NZXT Phantom full tower case? It's time I upgraded to liquid cooling for the sake of my CPU.

Yes it will fit, I have an H440 but looking at the dimensions of the Phantom you will be fine to install on in your case

Are there any issues with not installing the Corsair Link software and simply using motherboard BIOS fan settings to choose your fan speeds?

Seemed to run OK w/out Link.  I installed Link after a day and after several restarts Link began to work.  It has three speed settings however I would prefer more control.  It looks like you need Corsair interface devices to have more control.

Can I mount different fans to this instead of using the two that come with?

Absolutely. I actually purchased 4 PWM fans from Corsair and set them up in a push-pull configuration to cut down on any noise and increase performance. I will mention that this did mean I needed to purchase a fan hub as well. The hub allowed me to run all 4 fans into one fan header on the motherboard and control them in unison as if they were one fan.

Will this fit on the top of a corsair 780t case? The older h100i fits on top but this is slightly bigger. Corsair's website says it only fits in the front just wondering if anyone got it to fit on the top.

i have this on top of a carbide 500R case fans on top blowing cold air in through the rad

will this fit in the corsair 750d case?

Yes it will, there are pre drilled holes in the case to support this cooler.  Works very nicely.  I have both the GTX 100 and the 750D.

Hi I was wondering if this radiator had mounting holes that go all the way through, so if i used longer screws could i put them in one side and have the, come out the other for mounting? Thanks in advance!

They are not through and through. Both sides are threaded for mounting or fans on both sides. But its possible that your model could be slightly different than the model that I receivedn awesome cooler by the way, dont pass

Will this fit a LGA 1151 board?

Yes it will.
The LGA 1155, 1150, an 1151 are all the same size with the same mounting requirements.
