Do you need to buy thermal paste for this product?

actually no.  It already had stuff for it applied.  I didn't realize it.  I did apply thermal paste.  No problem.  My system has been running fine ever since.

Question 2

Newb question; Does this already have the coolant inside the closed system? Or, do you have to add coolant on install? And, how often do you need to replace or add new coolant? Thanks.

There is already coolant inside, you do not add any. There is no fill port so the answer is you never add coolant. I have been using these Corsair coolers for years and have never had an issue.

will this radiator allow for 4 fans on it?

Yes you can if your case will allow for the room all corsair rads I've seen allow for push pull configuration however 2 should be enough for most applications on one side you can use short screws to get through the fan to the rad (be careful on the other side with the fans on the outer side of the case use long screws to go through the fan and the case material and the fan it should hold it in just fine would be a total pain in the butt however on the coolermaster Haf XB you can do that with an H100 series that has 120 mm fans you can get push pull on that case putting the fans on outside of case behind bezel long screws through to rad and short screws on the other side of the rad for the other two fans ps don't try push pull with coolermaster storm trooper no dice on top mounted (due to bad configuration with the handle being riveted to the case had they made that part up higher and spread the legs for the attachment it would have allowed it

I'm reading that this cooler will fit on the new AM4 socket. Can anyone confirm this?

I just received it in the mail and it DOES NOT have the bracket needed to fit an AM4 socket. I went to the corsair website and pre-ordered the AM4 bracket from them, which is $5.00 USD, and it gets released on 3/2/17. Kinda confusing since it said "AM4 Compatible" because I just assumed it would fit right out of the box, but with the bracket it should work.

Does this cooler work with the APEVIA X-CRUISER3 case, an i7-6700k, and asus z170 pro gaming style rig?

Hello Scott,
I cannot say for sure that the Corsair H110i Extreme will fit into a mid-tower size case, as it is 208mm in length, and from what I read on the Apevia webpage, it seems that this case is 'specced' for a 240mm cpu cooler.  Apevia has a pdf about this case, and I think you should probably give their customer service a call first, and maybe also Corsair.

If you use this with one processor (with the pre applied thermal paste already on the plate), and later on use it for another processor (lets say 6 months later) will the pre applied thermal compound on the plate be able to be used without applying additional thermal paste?

I can no longer remember what the pre-applied thermal paste was like but I always clean all the paste off when I move a cooler to a new CPU and apply new paste.  I've fried a CPU by not doing it once (many years ago) and I'm never repeating it, especially now that the CPUs generate gobs more heat.  So, my answer would be that you may luck out if the original paste layer is relatively intact and there is enough goo you can transfer to the new CPU, but it is a dicey proposition at best.

After looking at the document which is available on the Newegg site at the product's description the only place to install this, with such a big radiator, is in your case's roof.  If you can't mount it in the roof then you could make a hokey-looking install in the back using one or two home-made brackets and a lot of duct tape (remember Apollo 13 ?) -- it wouldn't look very good but the point is cooling.

According to the reviews this cooler doesn't work with LGA 1151 sockets. Has this been resolved? The reviews with this issue are within the last 60 days.

Since the configuration of the socket on the motherboard hasn't changed in some time, the H110i is compatible with 1151 socket.  There may be motherboards that may not be compatible but I've seen the 6700K and 6800K run with this cooler.  If there is an issue with mounting, it'll be with the motherboard, not the socket layout as it is unchanged from older generations.

Question 10

I know Corsair wont guarantee a fit however does anyone know if this will fit on the Cool Master HAF X http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225&cm_re=cooling_liquid_case-_-11-119-160-_-Product ? Also if this is the best out of the box setup for this case? I plan on running the Intel Extreme Edition i7-6950X

It has quite the bezel on it.   I don't have that case (I have the Zalman H1).  My case has a raised section for fans/coolers under the top and I had to take a dremel to it because the space was not long enough for the bezel.  If the top of your case where it attaches (or side, etc etc) is flat, you should be fine.  If it is raised up with a limited space the bezel will cramp your style.  In terms of quality, I am in love.  not one problem and it looks good also
