Question 1

Do I need to fill this with water or coolant or something?  The directions do not say so nor does it state that you don't. this is my first time using liquid cooler.

You do not.
This is an "AiO" (All in One) liquid cooler which come pre filled and sealed from the factory with coolant unless otherwise specified.

I also recommend looking at some installation tutorials online as this cooler although grate may be a little complex to install for a first time user.

No. This is an AIO (All in one) cooler, meaning the water is already in there. It isn't recommended nor needed to remove the tubes to fill with water. Hope this helps.

Do i need to apply themal paste to the cpu? if im putting this on it?

The Cooler already comes with it's own thermal paste pre-applied, if you want to use you're own thermal paste then you'll need to clean off the already applied thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol.

Question 4

Can anyone confirm if this works with the 1151 socket motherboards? Want to use for a 300 series INTEL chip.

All the 11XX series sockets are mechanically the same they just moved or removed pins to make them electrically incompatible. This AIO will work with all of them with the included bracket.

Does this come with Commander Core in the package?

No, it's not included. It's unneeded for this setup, although I could see why you might want it if you're trying to integrate this CPU cooler into a broader liquid-cooled system.

All RGB on this unit is controlled via iCue software, and is highly customizable. I can verify that this does a good job of controlling all Corsair products (RAM, mice, keyboards, etc.), although it does not seem to be able to handle non-Corsair RGB products (swapped my mouse out for a Razer after having the mouse wheel break on two Ironclaw RGB mice).

I need to know how long the tubes are?  I want to mount it in an antique (1996) full tower case, I need 14 inches to use an AIO   thx

Question 7

is it okay to mount this at the front of your case (vertically)?

Yes. its just not ideal. The CPU tends to get the hottest out of all your components so mounting in the front you will be basically blows hot air right into the case. However, this is probably easily circumvented by having proper airflow (e.g. rear/top exhaust). Also, this AIOs combined height is about 50mm, so make sure there's enough room in your case to fit a front mounted radiator that won't interfere with the your GPU's length.

Does the RGB work with Aura Sync?

Currently all my LED enabled systems (Fans, Cooler, RAM)  appear to be in sync with the Aura Rainbow option.  But I cannot change the Corsair cooler or its Fans RGBs in Aura.

There is a conflict between Corsair Link software and Asus Aura.  From Corsair Web Site:

"**PLEASE NOTE: Regardless of the cooler's detection in Clink, the cooler will continue to operate as normal.  This should not affect your cooler's functionality beyond being able to change the RGB LED and alternate between cooling profiles**
If your cooler is no longer being detected in Clink after restarting the PC, a software conflict may be responsible.  We have recently learned that certain 3rd party RGB software will mistake the cooler for it's own product, and deactivate our driver in order to obtain control of it.
Known Software Causing Issues:
EVGA PrecisionXOC
MSI Mystic Light
Asus AuraRGB
For now, the best way to correct the issue is to simply not use one of the software's.  It is also possible to correct the issue by deactivating the RGB controls in the conflicting software, which will prevent the process which deactivates the cooler's driver.
Finally, it is also possible to reactivate the driver after restarting if you wish to.  To do this:
1. Open your computer's Device Manager.
2. In Device Manager, click "View" at the top, and select Show Hidden Devices.
3. Expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" section.
4. Locate the CorsairUSBXp driver.
5. Right-click on the driver and select "Enable Device".
This will cause your cooler to be detected until the next restart of the PC.
We are currently searching for a solution to correct this on our end.  Until then, please use any of the workarounds above."

I will need to play with this some more but everything looks great if I keep it on Rainbow option.

Question 9

Will this work with the new Intel 10th Gen i9-10900k - Socket LGA 1200? If not what would you recommend? Thanks!

I am afraid not. I bought one for my GigaByte AORUS ULTRA MB and it has a LGA1200 socket. The backing plate is too big, only one pin would fit in the MB. On the package carton it says LGA 115x and LGA 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066. CORSAIR support says it will not fit LGA1200.

Question 10

Would this draw a lot of power on the PSU? According to the Newegg Calculator my current build needs at least around 300w PSU, I have an 850 PSU because I do game.
