1. Is this fast enough to watch a Youtube quality HD video from the stick?

2. Once you unlock it, you can copy the files on the stick to another device?

More than enough speed for HD playback with absolutely no problems.  Once unlocked it operates as any other flash drive would so copying files is no problem (stays unlocked until disconnected).  I love these drives and own 2.  If I loose the drive I am not concerned with somone having my personal data/videos etc.  From my research, so far nobody has been able to hack these drives.  I transport confidentil business data on 1 of the 2 with confidence.  Highly recommended!

The drive claims to be AES-256, but there are only five buttons and your PIN can only be 10 characters long.  This makes 5^10 possible combinations, which works out to be 9,765,625 possible combinations.  Log base 2 of this number is about 20.  This means that your actual key is at most 20/8=3.

This is the effective length of your AES-256 key, three characters.  This means it will take no time at all to crack your effective AES-256 key, assuming the bad guy can disassemble the device and read the flash chips.

If I did not miss any key assumptions and my math is right, how can this possibly be secure???  What am I missing here?

Your math sounds correct, but I think you're failing to factor in the fact that the number of combinations of characters - regardless of the fact that there are really only 5 digits available - has almost no impact on the cipher strength of this device, being that it's really an ocarina designed to look like a storage device to avoid the dreaded flute police.
