Newegg has this as a combo (MOBO, processor, and 1x DIMM).  Can I use 1 stick or do I need to get a second (outside of the bundle)?

what would be the cause of me using only one stick but not getting display or keyboard or mouse lights but my fans and lights on computer light up but no display and my motherboard has the capacity to run 16384 MB of ram but the one stick by its self does not work at all.. but the ram is compatible but just doesn't work...

Is this RAM, 2 sticks of 4gb and makes 8gb (2x4gb=8gb)?
Or is this 1 stick of 8gb (18gb=8gb)?

1 stick of 8Gb.  I bought 2 sticks to increase my computers RAM to 16Gb.

can it be use for a cyberpowerPC B85 desktop?

Although the CyberpowerPC B85 uses DDR3 memory, it can be configured with different speed so you should pull your current memory stick(s) and read the specs.  You will want to get at least the same speed as your current memory for optimum performance.  From the compatibility standpoint, it's hard to mix and match DDR3 memory - they don't seem to work together if they aren't exactly the same speed/latency/etc.  At least that is true with my HP Pavilion.

I just bought this for my new computer and on the box it came in, on the bottom it shows pictures of Intel i3, i5, i7, and AMD Phenom II. My CPU I ordered is an AMD FX, and it isn't shown on the box. But, in the specs of this RAM it says it supports "AMD" although it doesn't say what kind. So basically Im wondering if this RAM will work with my AMD FX Processor?

I`ve never had an issue where ram doesn`t work with any cpu, but right now I run the 3770k with no issues at all. I have 32 GBs and I lowered the timings from 10-10-10-27 to 9-9-9-24 and I notice the change.

Put it in and see if she boots.

I currently have 6 GB [2 GB X3] DDR3-1600 - A-DATA Gaming Series.  Would I just need to replace it with 2 sticks of this or could I run with two sticks of this and my already installed RAM?

It would depend on your motherboard.  Generally the answer is yes, just be sure to keep the pairs in the correct slots.  Some motherboards pair slot 1 with 2 and 3 with 4, others 1 with 3 and 2 with 4.

If I have the 8gb black version of this ram, and I buy a 8gb blue one, will they still support dual channel?

If you buy an 8GB kit, which has 2x 4GB sticks, you will be ok.

If you bought a single 8GB stick already, you will need to match the timing specs (e.g. 10-10-10-27) with a new single module to use it in dual mode.

I accidently put two non-matching modules in dual configuration and both modules died after a few hours of use, so if your RAM doesn't match be careful that they are not in the same dual-mode pair of motherboard slots.

If your motherboard has 4 slots for RAM I would put the old module in one pair of slots and the new RAM in the 2nd pair.  Or just get a single RAM stick and put it in the 2nd pair of slots.

One other thing--the motherboard will choose to run at the speed of the slower of the two RAM modules.

As far as the color, manufacturers sometimes offer the same memory in different colors, to color-coordinate with a user's color scheme.  So the color may not be an issue.

If my motherboard supports dual channel memory will this still be compatible?

sure.  but like the motherboard maker recommends, two identical memory modules with the same chips and the same timings.  and if the motherboard has four memory slots, it will tell you which two to use for channel A and if you have 4 identical memory modules, which two slots to use for channel B.  they're usually color matched though on the motherboard.
