Question 1

My son built my computer 4.5 years ago. He installed 4 ram slots.  He installed 2 of these ram sticks in it.  I want to upgrade.  I know I can add two more of these sticks for a total of 8 gb of ram.  My question do you have another ram stick of 2 4gb?  That way I could potentially install four stick for a total of 12 gb of ram or do I need to change the mother board to accommodate the increased ram?

No, you shouldn't have to change the mb but you need to make sure you are using the 64 bit version of the OS you're running else the extra memory is a waste.  32 bit OS's are limited to about 3.5GB of address space.

Question 2

I have a dell xps 630 and corsair dominator ddr2 ram 800mhz. will this be compatible. I just purchased the G skill ddr2 ram 800mhz pc 6400 and my computer won't recognize the memory?

Both this memory and the G skill memory you purchased should work on the machine you own.  There may be a number of reasons why your machine doesn't recognize the G skill memory.  Remember that Dual Channel memory needs to be installed in pairs in the correct slots to be recognized.  As well, if you are trying to install more memory than the motherboard or the operating system can handle, it may not recognize the excess memory.

I would troubleshoot why your machine is not recognizing the G skill memory before buying more.  If you have a friend who has a similar kind of machine, you might want to try installing the memory on his machine and seeing if the memory is at fault.  If your friend's machine recognizes it just fine, then it's better to figure out what is wrong with your machine.

Question 3

Will this work with an ASUS P5B Deluxe mobo?  I also recently bought a QX9860 CPU to bring a little life to a 10 yr old build so 2nd question would be "will these overclock enough for this CPU that is under liquid cooling?"

I really can't answer your question. I too bought Corsair memory for a 10 year old build that I was renovating for use as an entry level Digital Audio Workstation for my Grandson. The motherboard is an intel, but I don't remember the model number.  The original Corsair memory I purchased from New Egg has worked flawlessly since it was new. The system remains powered 24/7 (except for periodic preventative maintenance) and with the additional memory will work as a training system. I highly recommend the Corsair memory but I can't help with your other questions.

Does this memory work With MSI motherboard?

I had a Dell pc with a Dell MB.  I don't know how well the memory would work  with an MSI MB.
