I have a hp compaq elite 8000 convertible minitower I looked at this it looks like a match but not positive on it here is what the manual says it takes

When in doubt use the memory finder: http://www.newegg.com/MemoryFinder Although based on the information provided I wasn't able to find your exact system type in the memory finder. You should still check on your own as you can confirm machine type. You could also probably call newegg directly to get another opinion. As for the manual vs the memory specs it does appear this memory is supported by your system. Since your system supports the following: 240-Pin DDR3-1333 w/ CAS Latency 9 (9-9-9 timing) Only thing to note/question is if this will be in addition to existing memory or the only memory added to the system. You can't really mix memory types so this should/would have to be the only memory in your system. Unless the existing memory is 240-Pin DDR3-1333 w/ CAS Latency 9 (9-9-9 timing). Granted I'm assuming this will be the only memory in the system as chances are low that you have more than 4 memory banks.

I don't think so...I believe macs have a specified ram type. But from what I read it's a crap shoot ie: some will work better than others... try finding ram that says it's "guaranteed to work with Macs"

Question 4

The sticker on the DIMM shows as 16GB (4x4).  Does that mean each stick is 16GB?

To read Ram memory from left to right: First number is always the whole ram number 16GB, then the 4x4 part represents how many ram sticks will be provided and the quantity each stick has. So example would be 4sticks of ram with 4GB for each stick equalling 16GB total.

I'm not very familiar with the designation, but upon basic research it sounds like it's how the memory works and if your motherboard supports the appropriate memory speed and pin that this has, it should be fine. More research may be good to verify.

Question 7

Corsair site says SPD voltage is 1.5v and Tested Voltage is 1.65v. Will this RAM work in Intel DP55KG motherboard that provides less than 1.6v for RAM? My motherboard manual says, "Unbuffered, non-registered single- or double-sided DIMMs with a voltage rating of less than 1.6V. NOTE - Using a DIMM with a voltage rating higher than 1.6 V may damage the
processor." So, I'm not sure if this RAM will work or damage something. Thank you.

You should be okay, as long as you don't run your RAM over 1.6v. The voltage rating is not a hard line, it's more of a guide line for "hey - at this point, your risking CPU and lifespan," but it very well could survive anyway. If you don't overclock your RAM, the voltage should sit at 1.5v and be perfectly fine. You could also try tuning this down for more safety, but may experience a performance hit or instability (gotta keep those bits charged!).

Hi there, I have an older model HP Pavilion Elite HPE-410t and according to the specs it looks like this RAM should work but just wanted to double check that it's compatible?  Thanks so much!

They should work, I would just make sure the motherboard is DDR3 (most likely is) the ram is solid I still use it.

Question 9

I have a Mid 2010 iMac, 27 Inch, 2.8Ghz Intel Core I5, 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 memory. I would like to upgrade to the max memory of 16GB.  It must also meet these criteria: PC3-10600, Unbuffered, Nonparity, 204 Pin. Any advice would be appreciated. Can you recommend a product?

The memory worked for an ASUS motherboard with an AMD quad core processor - and worked well.  I cannot comment on the viability of the memory for an Intel/MAC configuration but will offer that provided the MB specs indicate that the memory falls within the required timings expected of memory, then it should work.

Overall, I have found Corsair products to be very good.

Question 10

Will this memory work in the Lenovo M83 model?

Sorry, I have no idea, but I did find it to be very good memory for my ASUS motherboard.  If you go to the Corsair website they have a memory selection tool which should be able to tell you if it will work in the M83.
